🎯 ADTA Instructor Jeff H. led last night’s Live-Fire event, running a laundry list of drills using a timer to add some additional stress into the drills. It was a great night, especially since we welcomed experienced shooter Geoff to his first ADTA Everett Live-Fire. RSO Don J. gave an excellent safety briefing and watched us have fun while he kept us safe. We have the best members and volunteers!

🔫 One student switched his from his often malfunctioning R***r Security 9 to a Walther PPS that actually worked flawlessly. The Chief Instructor’s 2011 also worked this time too, following a recoil spring change. Occasionally everything just comes together.

😳 Chief Instructor Brandon K. plans to lead August’s Everett Live-Fire. Advanced warning is appreciated.

What did you do last Saturday? We had a blast with our newest members!🔫 👏

Every other month, ADTA's experienced team of volunteers, led by Chief Instructor Doreen S., hosts a Beginners / New Members Workshop that offers a blend of classroom instruction, dry-practice, and live-fire training.

To ensure each student receives ample individual support, registration is capped at a limited number. We encourage interested participants to sign up early. The next workshop is September 12th at the Bellevue Gun Club.

Everything came together nicely at last night’s Live-Fire event in Everett. Tailored training featuring drawing, moving, thinking, pewing and dealing with too many malfunctions…

Guns are machines and of course are prone to malfunctions when put to the test. In last night’s cases, one shooter was a little loose on gripping their handgun. In the other case a custom comped 2011 got a little too dirty to cycle properly. Allegedly 2011’s require more cleanings and recoil spring rate tuning than a trusty G***k. Who knew? 😀

Big thank you to last night’s excellent cadre of volunteers; Brandon K and Jeff H as our instructors and Gary L as our range safety officer.

Newly minted instructor Jeff thought it would be fun to torture us at last night’s Live-Fire event in Everett. The dot torture drill is just that and it’s a tough drill that focuses on extreme accuracy, especially when shot at 5 yards. Give it a try on your own, or join ADTA and be in good company with other humbled shooters.
