I constantly get asked about the origin of Jump In Swim, why I started it and what our goal is.

With a background in first responder work, our goal is simple- teach every single student life saving skills in the water. Every single student is different and learns at a different speed and in various ways. That’s why we primarily teach private lessons, to ensure every student gets the most out of every lesson.

At Jump In, play isn’t something we save for after the “real” learning — play is part of how we learn.

We intentionally incorporate play into every lesson because when swimmers are laughing, exploring, and enjoying the water, they’re building positive associations with swimming while practicing important skills along the way.

For a swimmer who is nervous or still developing confidence, having FUN can be especially powerful. It helps build trust, encourages them to try new things, and keeps them excited to come back week after week. 💙

Our goal isn’t just to teach strokes. It’s to help swimmers become safe, capable, and confident in the water — and actually love being there.

Because some of the best learning happens when it doesn’t feel like learning at all. 💪🏊‍♀️

We’re so excited to welcome Parmin to the Jump In Swim Academy team! 💦

Parmin comes to us with two years of experience teaching full-time at another swim school, working with both kids and adults of all skill levels.

What we love about Parmin is how personalized her teaching is. She has a natural ability to spot what isn’t quite clicking for a swimmer and create specific drills to help them improve, build confidence, and reach that next breakthrough. 🏊‍♀️

We feel so lucky to have another talented and experienced instructor joining our team, and we can’t wait for our swimmers to meet her! 💙

When you get the blessing of teaching all 3 kids in a family how to swim safely in the deep end, we celebrate with belly flops 🤣

In all honesty, it’s been such a joy getting to watch Teresa Eunjoung Jue kiddos become water safe. We’ve been swimming together a few years now and all 3 kids are jumping into the deep end and having FUN doing it. That’s what it’s all about.
