Crystal Mountain Alpine Club (CMAC) is a non-profit, predominately volunteer organization founded in 1963. CMAC is for skiers of all ages who enjoy competitive ski racing as well as advanced free skiing. Our coaching staff is dedicated to helping racers at all levels achieve their personal ski racing goals. CMAC's philosophy is to provide a program that is fun and enjoyable for all participants while developing strong skiing skills learned through structured training and directed free skiing using the entire mountain. This creates strong racers and excellent skiers with a deep love of the sport. The CMAC philosophy not only develops successful ski racers, but skiers who will participate in the sport throughout their lives. This philosophy also develops life skills that transcend sports. CMAC alums have successfully competed in national and international competition. Most recently two alumni - Scott Macartney and Libby Ludlow - raced in the Olympics for the US Ski Team - and then come back to coach the younger athletes providing CMAC the strongest coaching staff in the Pacific Northwest. CMAC and its racers regularly enjoyed great success, earning top results at PNSA team championships at all levels of our program. CMAC’s program is highly regarded and respected at the regional as well as the national level.

Come be part of CMAC - the premier ski racing program in the Pacific Northwest.
For more than 60 years, CMAC has been developing exceptional skiers - from kids learning to love the mountain to athletes competing at the very highest levels of the sport. CMAC alumni include U.S. Ski Team members and Olympians Scott Macartney, Libby Ludlow and Katie Hensien, with the next generation, including Canyon Osborn, continuing that tradition.

But CMAC isn’t just about producing elite racers.

Our Mighty Mite program is where it starts - teaching kids to ski the whole mountain, in all kinds of terrain and conditions. They build confidence, independence, strong fundamentals and, most importantly, a lifelong love of skiing.

From your first turns with CMAC to the U.S. Ski Team, there’s a place to grow here.

CMAC Summer is underway! For those who got out of school early, we’ve already wrapped up Week 1 of ski camp at Mt. Hood. With three more weeks of summer training ahead, our U16+ athletes will then head to Saas-Fee and Brussels for even more on-snow training and development.

Mt. Hood delivered incredible conditions and a great start to the summer. We’re excited to keep building momentum as the athletes put in the work and prepare for another strong season.
