🏉 2026 Rowdies Hall of Fame Inductee: Daniel Weir 🏉
There are some people whose impact on a club can’t be measured in tries scored, matches played, or seasons on a roster. Their legacy is built in the countless hours they give, the traditions they help carry forward, and the way they make everyone around them better.
The Belleville Rowdies are incredibly proud to welcome Daniel “Danny” Weir into the Rowdies Hall of Fame Class of 2026.
Danny has been a constant presence in Rowdies Rugby — not just on the pitch, but everywhere this club needs him. As a referee, Danny has helped grow and support the game we all love, bringing his knowledge, fairness, and passion to every match. He serves as our Head Referee for both the Russ Ellis 10s and BelleVegas 7s tournaments, ensuring these events run smoothly and continue to represent the best of Rowdies Rugby.
But anyone who knows Danny knows his contributions go far beyond the whistle.
When there’s work to be done, Danny is one of the first people to raise his hand. Need someone to volunteer? Danny is there. Need someone to grab the microphone and emcee a fundraiser or trivia night? Danny is already asking where to stand. Need someone who represents what it truly means to be a Rowdie? Look no further.
For years, Danny has given his time, his energy, and his heart to this club — not for recognition, not for credit, but simply because he believes in the Rowdies family. Clubs like ours survive and thrive because of people like Danny: the ones who show up, step up, and make sure the next generation gets to experience the same rugby community we all love.
Danny, thank you for every match, every tournament, every event, every laugh, and every moment you’ve dedicated to making this club better. Your commitment and generosity embody the spirit of Rowdies Rugby.
Please join us in congratulating Daniel “Danny” Weir — 2026 Rowdies Hall of Fame Inductee.
Once a Rowdie, always a Rowdie. 🏉
