We're building our 5th grade and 7th & 8th grade teams for the
upcoming season — and tryouts are happening in the next week!

Storm teams are built primarily from players we already know through
our camps, clinics, leagues, meet & greets, and other Storm programs.
This helps us work with families who understand our development
philosophy and what we're building.

This isn't about excluding anyone — it's about the relationships
we've already been pouring into. Current Storm players and families
are always welcome to refer someone who'd be a great fit.

🌱 INSTRUCTIONAL BASKETBALL LEAGUE (IBL)
Tuesdays | September 8 – November 10 | 10 Weeks
Metro East Sportsplex
K–2nd, 2nd–4th, 4th–6th, and 6th–8th Grade groups available
$320 for the full session — includes a free Storm t-shirt
"Learn. Compete. Grow."

🔥 ADVANCED BASKETBALL LEAGUE (ABL)
Thursdays | September 10 – October 15 | 6 Weeks
Metro East Sportsplex
6th–8th and 9th–12th Grade groups available

🏀 Summer ABL wrapped for our High School Storm players! 🏀

These guys closed out the session with a strong final week of games at Southwestern Illinois College, and the level of competition and effort all summer was exactly what we look for at this age — sharp, physical, and locked in.

A few players were missing the day we took our camp pictures, but this group had every one of them leaving their mark on this session.

Looking ahead — our next round of sessions starts in September, with registration opening by the end of this weekend. Keep an eye out for the link!

🏀 Another summer ABL session in the books for our 6th–8th Grade Storm players! 🏀

This group closed things out with a great final week of games at Southwestern Illinois College, capping off a summer full of real growth, competitive reps, and team chemistry that showed up on the scoreboard.

Worth mentioning: our team photo doesn't tell the whole story — a few guys were out the day we snapped pictures, but this squad ran a full roster all summer and everyone contributed to a great season.

We're already looking ahead to September — registration for our next sessions opens by the end of this weekend, so watch for the link!

🏀 Southern Illinois Storm Open Gyms – Tuesday, August 18th ⚡

We’re excited to offer Open Gym opportunities for players interested in playing on a Southern Illinois Storm team.

These sessions are designed to give players a chance to play, compete, and be evaluated in a setting that is low pressure and not an official tryout.

Location: Southwestern Illinois College – Main Court at Main Campus
Cost: $20 per session

Session Times:
• 4th–6th Grade: 6:30 PM – 7:45 PM
• 6th–8th Grade: 7:45 PM – 9:00 PM

What this is:
✔️ An interest and evaluation session
✔️ A chance to see who is interested in joining a Storm team

What this is not:
❌ Not a guarantee of team placement
❌ Not an official tryout

If there is enough interest, official tryouts will be held the following week.

Players should arrive a few minutes early and bring a water bottle.

We wrapped up our summer IBL session in style, finishing out our final games on the college court at Southwestern Illinois College. So proud of how far these players have come — the growth, the effort, and the fun they brought to every session this summer.

We were missing a few players the week we took our camp pics, but we were blessed to have a full roster of players join us for this summer session. Thank you to every family who was part of it — it was a blast watching this group grow together.
