Excited to get our season started for 2026! Cool to see Ona Speedway new ideas for this year. We are hoping to participate and see more people at Ona this season!
Ona Speedway Announces Driver Incentive Program
ONA, WV-The Ona Speedway is proud to announce a new Driver Incentive Program aimed at partnering with its race teams in the growth of the speedway. The idea for the program is inspired by the NASCAR Drivers Ambassador Program that rewards drivers for promoting the sport.
With the new Driver Incentive Program, drivers will be able to earn points throughout the 2026 season based on a number of different things that the drivers can do to promote themselves and the speedway. For every 100 points a driver earns, they will receive a FREE pit pass and the driver with the most points this season will earn the Ona Speedway Ambassador of the Year Award and be honored at the banquet with a trophy/plaque plus earn a 2027 Season Pit Pass.
"We are really excited about how this program gets everyone involved in trying to grow the track", stated track promoter/operator T. J. Layne. "A good portion of our drivers already do several of the things in this program, this creates an opportunity for them to earn rewards for their efforts and hopefully will encourage all teams to be more conscious and participate more in helping grow the track. I truly believe this program can help grow the track and get our fans more engaged with our drivers than ever before."
Drivers will need to submit when they do an action that earns points in the program. The speedway will be putting together a quick and easy submission form on the track website. Below are the criteria where drivers can earn points:
Social Media
-Post a “Come See Me” at Ona Speedway post during a race week promoting that you will be at the track for that race. 5 points (max of 5 points per race. Will need to contact track to get a Come See Me graphic made for you).
-Make a High Quality Video promoting yourself and the race track and post it. Examples of this include on board videos, an edited video with race footage/behind the scenes action. Must include promotion of the track in the video. 10 points.
Community Engagement
-Bring your car to a local business, school, fire station, library, or Ona Speedway community event and promote racing at Ona Speedway. 30 points.
-Being a guest on a local radio station, TV, or podcast and talk about racing at Ona Speedway. 20 points.
-Participating in pre-race fan engagement at the speedway where you bring the car in the general admission area before the race. Must coordinate with the speedway. 15 points.
Sponsor Engagement
-Bring a new sponsor to sponsor at the race track. Between 10-50 points, points based upon dollar amount spent with speedway.
Driver Recruitment
-Bring a new driver who has never been to Ona Speedway to come race at the track. 15 points.
Fan Giveaway
-Track approved fan giveaway. 10 points.
Track Services
-Provide a service at the track such as participating in a track work day, assist with a service the track needs that you can provide. 15 points.
