Day 200 and something of not knowing anyone in PA.

After my workout, I had seen a local running group post a group run in Mt Pleasant.

I thought I’d go and hopefully make a friend or two while getting in a recovery run.

I apparently got to the wrong location and nobody was there.

Maybe me and here aren’t meant to be.

Terrible pic from the treadmill today.

But put the work in for the intervals and got 56.5 miles to go to beat last June and can start playing catchup for all the miles behind I am at this point last year.

Luckily, last summer was heart surgery recovery and moving. So, I got some opportunity.

Anyways.
3.07 Miles 9:26 pace
Not happy about my weigh in.
So, I may head out for a recovery run in a bit

Any other runners have heart ablations post stroke?

This is today’s run after church this morning.

I really hate taking pics of myself since my post surgery weight gain.

But this will give me something g to look back on when I start reaching my goals again.

I set goals of beating last year. One being to win the months by getting over 100 miles in each month and getting more miles than each month over last year.

After starting the year off with a win, I lost three consecutive months decisively.

I came into today being a scheduled off day with my first 100 mile month since January locked in and 3.3 miles less than May 2025 (that was with heart surgery).

So, 3.4 miles of recovery to beat last year and set my monthly record to 2-3.

I’m still very much behind in miles for the year (643.3 YTD 2025 vs 424.5 in 2026).

But we are entering the summer and because I was recovering from surgery and moved out of state, there are months waiting to be won and miles to catch up on.

Let’s start with another 100 mile month in June and destroying the 72.7 miles of June 2025

Drove to Ohiopyle park for the first time yesterday.

I love that it’s 15 miles away but a 40 mile drive because, Pennsylvania.

I will say this. The views are amazing and the scenery.

Btw, I dropped the Ten Commandments because I saw them in the side of the road and took a picture.

Bought these bad boys at Ginger Bread Man Running in Greensburg.

Let me say this. Not only are the ASICS Superblast 3 the coolest looking shoes, but they are even better to run in.

The only thing that keeps this from being considered a super shoe are the lack of a carbon plate.

They are amazing on the feet and I just Ran my first tempo run in months in them.

Unfortunately it was on the treadmill. But still amazing coming off an afib attack 3 nights ago.

I walked the trail by Westmoreland Community College today since it is supposed to be a rest day.

I’m so glad El Grande (My Dog) is getting better when walking and running. He’s still a work in progress. But we are getting there.

Thanks for the recommendation Amanda Cooper.

As much as I don’t like paying tolls, this trail was worth it.

Plus I didn’t feel like I needed to have an eye on every direction.

3 Miles with the Puppy with an average heart rate of 130.

I’m definitely going to have to check it out more for longer runs.
