We finished out a wild weekend at Gainesville with a final round appearance! After four days of waiting through rain and cold we got our one shot at a qualifying run Sunday afternoon. The race was ran start to finish on Monday and we were fortunate to make it to another National Event final round. Thank you to the family and friends that make it possible!

This weekend’s live action from Gainesville. There will be one round of qualifying Thursday and two rounds on Friday for Top Dragster. Going to be a fast field!

As we made the long trip home after a third round exit, we couldn’t be more happy with how things were rolling this weekend to that point. We made successful test runs Friday, but we switched up race strategy after seeing there would not be more than 32 cars and we were guaranteed a spot in the show. We slowed the car back down yet it still ran quicker than expected leaving us with numbers spread farther apart than our normal records show. After some homework we put a dial on it Sunday morning and it started coming together, taking advantage on the tree and running one above our number for the win. Second round against a tough competitor, and previous world champ, we cut a .003 light to his .006 and ran dead on with a 3 to make it a .006 package(reaction time plus time over dial-in), making it tough for the other lane to have room to get the win. Third round we felt good and had advantage on the tree, but spun the tires and after pedaling to recover just could not catch up with the tight competition of the class. The car came back to repeating numbers as it has in the past, and we couldn’t be more excited about getting out next weekend in Gainesville. Thanks again for all the support and we look forward to seeing you at the track soon!

Aired it out in testing and no complaints about traction here. We backed it down for Q1 last night, making a 6.83 pass and we’ll be ready for the last two qualifying rounds today.

We kickoff Friday morning with testing and Q1. It’s been almost 10 years since I’ve been down the lanes here. Ready to roll tomorrow!

After a tough first round red light at SGMP, we don’t have long before our next chance to go some rounds. We’ll be heading out of our division this week to division 4’s No Problem Raceway in Belle Rose, Louisiana.
