Our end of the year Awards Banquet for 9-12 grade will be on Monday November 15th at 6:30PM in the South Gym at the High School. There will be no food and we ask that all players wear a shirt and tie.

Tonight is our Blue Out game vs Marshall. We are wearing blue to increase Colon Cancer awareness! Colon cancer impacts many people and we have had a number of community members reach out to say that their relative has faced this challenge and we play for them tonight! See you at 7!

I asked our Junior and Senior football players to give their home jersey to a staff member that has made a positive impact on them in their lives so they know what that staff member has meant to them. Here the Hesser’s gave their jerseys to Mr. O’Brien and Mr. Pederson. The impact of school staff on the players and all students these last two years has been extremely important and we wanted to recognize the ones who meant a lot to the guys!

Hello,

The Football team is doing a Blue Out for our last home game on MEA Wednesday against Marshall. The Blue Out is to support Colorectal Cancer Awareness. We are selling shirts for this and all proceeds will be donated to Fight Colorectal Cancer Foundation.

1 in 23 men and 1 in 25 women will experience Colon Cancer in their lifetimes. 60% of the deaths related to Colon Cancer are preventable with screenings. So making awareness of the benefits of screenings is a great cause.

This topic is especially close to my heart as my Brother had Colon Cancer at 29 years old, through surgeries and chemotherapy he is doing great today and the more awareness I can help bring to this the better.
