It really sucks that stuff like this can happen but we know what we did that might have caused this.

Im currently in talks with some people and we are trying our best to figure out the best option and hopefully we can hit the track in a few weeks or so. Luckily there is a bright side to this situation and im so grateful that this isnt the end of my season.

I really appreciate all the help that i have received. I cant wait to get this fixed and hit the track this season.

Welp, we has a mishap yesterday.

I decided to take the street stock to test and tune to shake it down for the first time and it was going well at first. I hit the track just feeling everything out and going through some routine checks, making sure the brakes work well and it shifts okay. Everything seemed perfectly fine and so i started to feel the car out a little, hitting the gas more and more every lap. I never was fully on the gas or anything though, i was only feeling it out, i never crested 5500 to 6 grand on my tach. When all of a sudden i smelled burning oil. Turns out when i let off the gas on my final shakedown lap it sent oil into both sides of my exhaust. I shut it down immediatly and coasted off the track.

I have yet to sit down and diagnose the exact cause of my issue but what i do know is luckily the engine is not blown up. Somewhere oil has just bypassed places it shouldnt have. Im going to sit down and go through the car over the next couple days to figure out why this would happen and how i can fix it.

And ofcourse as of right now this will set my season back. With having no mentor by my side guiding me, im unsure how this is going to play out. But one thing to note is i will not give up. It could take me a week or several weeks to get this fixed. All depends on if i can afford it and if i have the knowledge to fix it.

Race Recap

Started the day with a 17.120 in hotlaps and wasnt really liking how the car felt. I made some adjustments and went out for qualifying and ran a 17.030. I decided the car still wasnt as good as it should be so i made more adjustments to it. Went out for my heat race and started outside second row. I battled with several cars and fell back to 5th at one point but i hooked up and started to battle my way back up to a solid 3rd place finish. I was impressed with my driving ability in that race because i somehow blew a tire on my left rear halfway through the race and still was able to run a 16.7 and pass cars to secure 3rd.

I ended up changing that tire out and made a few more small adjustments and went out for the A feature. I started 22nd on the tail in the second to last row of 24 cars. I started battling car after car and was doing super good. I had a few scary moments but still kept on trucking up the field. I passed roughly 14 or so cars in 18 laps and made my way to top 8. I battled super hard and was gaining on the leaders. I was passing on the outside of the 00 to fight for 6th place and ended up getting hit in the quarter panel because he was loose. When i got hit my car shot to the right and i tried to correct it as hard as i could but couldnt. I ended up riding the wall at 70mph in turn 4 and down the front stretch which ended up ending my night. Ended up P16. My fastest lap of the race was like a 16.6.

All in all the car is fixable and im super proud of myself for my ability to conquer a new car thats never been raced before. That was most deffinetly my most impressive race to date and know that if i wasnt wrecked out i would have easily gotten a top 3 finish. Thank you to maddie for letting wheel ur car and dont worry, ill get it fixed up for next weekend.

Thank you to everyone who came out to support me and help out. It means the world to me. Hopefully next weekend we can get some better finishes and bring the cars home in one peice.

Finished 3rd in the heat! Had fast time in the Heats. Finished the race on 3 wheels blew the left rear! Start near tail of feature so will have some work to do.

Raceday!

We are racing at shadybowl speedway. Ill be driving Maddie's #11 machine to help get it dialed in for her.

I will not be taking my street stock tonight. The car is ready but id like to hit the track at a test and tune first just to be safe. Last thing i want to do is rush and junk my own car or even worse someone elses.

We are racing!

First race of the season, kicking it off with one of my favorite tracks ive ever drove, Kil-Kare Raceway!

Ill be wheeling Maddie's #11 Compact. Hopefully i can pull off a solid finish tonight to start the season off right.

The street stock is currently on hold. Im thinking about driving it tomorrow at the bowl but im not totally sure if i should. The car is mechanically ready to go but my setup just isnt all there as of now. We still have some learning to do. Ill make a post tomorrow morning if i will be racing it or not.

Raceday for May 2nd has been cancelled due to weather.

I know ive been pretty quiet on here lately but ive working my butt off getting the car ready to rip for the race season. Its finally about finished with only a few small odds and ends i gotta tidy up.

Ive ran into some financial complications aswell which has also contributed to why it took so long for the car to be ready.

All in all im ready for the season to start and my first race is going to be May 8th at kilkare in maddies #11 compact. May 9th ill be out in the street stock and maddie will be in her car at shadybowl speedway.

Im also still in need of fuel and tire sponsors. I have lots of room on the car for any sponsors that want to get some exposure. Also you dont have to be a buisness owner to contribute, anyone can help out.

Thank you to all my sponsors and family that have stuck by my side through this difficult journey of acheiving my dreams. Hopefully this hard work will pay off May 9th!

Its time to let the cat out of the bag.

Its official. I will be going back to my roots and racing my own self funded street stock at shadybowl speedway for 2026.

Ive been working my butt off all winter to be able to confidently say ill be hitting the track in this beast at the Cabin fever event to kick the 2026 season off.

With this being said, its a massive jump and a huge milestone in my career as i will finally have a car that can compete. Last season was more for the experience and to be able to say that i have experienced dirt track at its fullest.
