Dear Parents,
We are having a couple openings left in our Winter Skills Academy in the Dayton area. If your player is possibly interested in developing their skills before the spring season starts please see detailed information about the PDSA Winter Skills Academy and how to register your player below:
WHAT IS THE SKILLS ACADEMY?
PDSA Soccer is offering the Skills Academy, which is organized small group training (maximum of 8 players), in the 2020-21 winter season. We are keeping our group sizes small to allow our professional coaches to provide the players with the attention and coaching points needed to truly become better players. In these training sessions your player will work on a wide variety of skills such as dribbling, first touch, passing, shooting, 1v1 moves, etc.
The sessions will be once a week, every week the same day and at the same time to allow for you to easily schedule your families other activities. By spreading out the sessions we create a situation where players truly get to digest the skills and will have the time to work on their development.
Included with the program is weekly homework through our Soccer Homework Academy, for which your player will receive a 12 month membership for free with their participation in the PDSA Skills Academy. The homework will allow your player to keep working on his/her development throughout the week, where we make the next push at the very session!

LOCATION
All training sessions will be at Faith Lutheran Church (3315 Martel Dr, Dayton, OH 45420). This is an indoor location with a gym floor. Players have to wear flats, they CANNOT wear cleats.
MAXIMUM NUMBER OF PLAYERS
We are enforcing a strict maximum number of players per trainer, which is 8. PDSA Soccer only offers individual and small group training because we believe the lower number of players per trainer will allow our trainers to give the players the personal attention needed to truly help the player develop. Once we have reached the maximum number of players per trainer registration will be closed, and new players can only register for the waiting list.
COVID19
Due to the COVID19 virus we will be changing some of our policies to make sure we can keep everyone safe. This means we unfortunately have to close the waiting area. There are 2 big changes that come with this
Players cannot come early to the session and hang out until their session starts. We will open the door at exactly the start of the training session to let the previous group leave and have the next group enter. This way we can avoid the players hanging out together before and after their session in the small waiting area.
Parents are not allowed hang out and watch the training session. Parents are asked to wait in their car in the parking lot.
In addition to closing the waiting area we will be sanitizing all equipment after every session. Players will be instructed to not touch any of the cones, hurdles, small goals, etc.
If the situation changes and we will not be able to offer the Skills Academy you will receive a 100% refund.
TRAINING JERSEY
All players are expected to wear the PDSA Practice jersey with (any) black shorts and (any) black socks. The costs for the training jersey is $20.00 per jersey.
FEE
The training fee per training session is $20.00. In addition to the training fee there is an indoor rental fee, which is $5.00 per player per session. This makes the fee for participation in the Tuesday training groups with 6 training sessions $150.00. The fee for participation in the Monday training groups with 8 training sessions is $200.00.
Players who register for a more than 1 training group will receive a $20.00 discount. Siblings will also receive a $20.00 discount. The sibling and multiple series discount cannot be combined (maximum discount is $20.00)
MAKE UP SESSIONS
We want players to train! This means that if your player will be missing a session we want to look for opportunities to do a make up session. Please see our make up policy for more details. Due to the maximum number of players please make sure to check with the PDSA trainer before “just showing up” to do a make up session.
REGISTRATION
Due to our maximum numbers we highly recommend to register as soon as possible. Registration is possible through our online registration system.
