Hey, all. Thought I would give an update as I have been radio silent for awhile.
I am five and a half weeks post op from cervical vertebrae fusion surgery and feeling really good. Still very limited on all physical activities, no lifting more than 10 pounds, no twisting, bending, crawling, limited head movement, etc., etc.
But!! Post op meeting with the surgeon today was very positive. He stated that, according to the xrays, I appear to be about two weeks ahead of schedule on the vertebrae bone graft. That's huge for me.
I should be ready for BBB. And, with that confidence, I volunteered to help at the Harley corporate tent at Pig Trail. Not to worry, I know I will have to work back into riding Warbird after this year from hell...but that's the goal and I'm sticking to it!!!
Thanks to all of you who continue reaching out and lifting my spirits..
You know who you are. I am very grateful.
On another note (that's a musician's term), my bride had her seventh lumbar surgery in Tulsa a week ago. She's doing very well but laid up as I am. So we are quite the pair, to be released to normal life at about the same time...+/- seven weeks from now. Meanwhile we rely on the goodness of friends and neighbors for help with heavy stuff around the compound. We are blessed for sure.
That's it for now. Thanks to all!!
