Gilchrist League aka Suwannee Valley League Youth rec programs for football/cheerleading, baseball/softball, basketball, soccer, & volleyball.

SVL is a nonprofit recreation organization serving the children of Gilchrist County through a variety of sporting activities including football, cheerleading, baseball, softball, soccer and volleyball. During the sports year 2004-2005, SVL served over 1,000 participants in it program. If you would like to volunteer or assist in the recreation of our youth, please contact any board member and they will be sure to get you involved.

Some of the greatest lessons in sports aren't taught during practice or on game day—they're taught by Dad.

Thank you to the fathers, grandfathers, and father figures who wake up early for tournaments, stay late after practice, volunteer their time, coach our teams, and never miss an opportunity to cheer on their athletes. From throwing the first football in the backyard to celebrating every touchdown, homerun and victory, your support helps shape the next generation.

Youth sports are about more than wins and losses—they're about hard work, commitment, and teamwork. Thank you for helping teach those values both on and off the field.

Today we celebrate the dads behind the athletes, the coaches behind the teams, and the role models behind the memories.

Our Gilchrist 10U All-Stars played a hard and fun game today against Palatka Panthers. We lead the WHOLE GAME until they went into overtime (Texas Tie-Breaker). We scored a run making the score 11-10 and the Palatka got back up to the plate and made 2 runs on us ending the game 11-12 Palatka advanced. This was the hardest and most defensive game these girls have ever played we’re so very proud! We will be back for State in Lake City by the end of this month.
