With school starting back, conditioning and workouts will start back for our team. We have created a list of much needed items to refuel the girls, help with laundry, revamp the locker room, etc.

We would appreciate any help that can be given to our team this season before we start fundraising in the fall.

🏀🧡 Meet Our Lady Champions Leader: Coach Janie Demonbreum 🖤🏀

For the past four years, Coach Janie Demonbreum has proudly led the Cascade Lady Champions basketball program with passion, dedication, and a commitment to building champions on and off the court.
A native of Bedford County, Coach Demonbreum is a 2010 graduate of Shelbyville Central High School, where she was a key member of a successful Eaglettes basketball program under legendary head coach Lynn Burkey. During her high school career, she was part of three district championship teams, two region championship teams, and a state tournament appearance.

After high school, Coach Demonbreum continued her basketball career at University of Alabama in Huntsville, competing for two seasons before stepping away from the game due to multiple injuries. Although her playing career came to an early end, her love for basketball and developing young athletes never left.

Now entering her fifth year leading the Cascade Lady Champions, Coach Demonbreum has worked to create a culture built on faith, family, toughness, accountability, and team-first basketball. Her teams have embraced the challenge, continued to grow, and represented Cascade High School with pride.

Beyond basketball, Coach Demonbreum’s greatest accomplishment is her family. She is married to Kelby Demonbreum, and together they are blessed with two children, Arlington and Nolan.

Coach Demonbreum’s impact goes far beyond wins and losses — she is shaping young women, building leaders, and continuing the tradition of excellence that defines Cascade Champions Basketball.

🏀🧡 WELCOME BACK, COACH KAYLEE ADAMS MELSON! 🖤🏀

The Cascade Lady Champions Basketball program is excited to welcome back Coach Kaylee Adams Melson as she enters her fourth season as an assistant coach for the 2026-2027 season!

A Shelbyville Central High School Class of 2020 graduate, Coach Melson was a standout student-athlete for the Eaglettes, competing in both basketball and softball. She continued her academic and athletic career at Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville, where she played collegiate softball while earning her degree.

Coach Melson is married to Cascade High School alumnus Colby Melson and is a dedicated 2nd grade teacher at Cascade Elementary School, where she impacts young lives every day through her passion for education and mentorship. Her investment in the Cascade community extends far beyond the basketball court.

Now entering her fourth season with the Lady Champions, Coach Melson has become an invaluable member of our coaching staff. Her energy, competitive spirit, and ability to build meaningful relationships with our student-athletes have helped establish a culture built on hard work, accountability, and relentless effort.

A defensive-minded coach, Kaylee believes championships are won through toughness, communication, and intensity on the defensive end. She thrives on watching a great defensive possession turn into transition offense and points, bringing contagious enthusiasm to every practice and game. Her passion for teaching the game and developing young women makes her an outstanding role model for our program.

We are incredibly grateful for Coach Melson’s dedication to our student-athletes and excited to have her back on the sidelines for another season.

🏀🧡 WELCOME TO THE LADY CHAMPIONS FAMILY, COACH KELLY GIBBS DAVIS! 🖤🏀

The Cascade Lady Champions Basketball program is excited to welcome Kelly Gibbs Davis as an Assistant Coach for the 2026-2027 season!

A proud Shelbyville Central High School Class of 2000 graduate and lifelong Bedford County resident, Coach Davis was part of the legendary Eaglette basketball program during one of its most successful championship eras. The winning culture and competitive mindset she experienced as a player have helped shape the coach she is today.

Away from the court, Kelly is a dedicated small business owner, operating Middle Tennessee Solutions alongside her husband, Michael. Her leadership, work ethic, and commitment to serving the community are qualities that will be invaluable to our program.

Coach Davis brings an unmatched energy and enthusiasm to the Lady Champions. She has a true passion for the defensive side of the game and believes that relentless effort, toughness, and accountability are the foundation of championship basketball. Her ability to connect with student-athletes and inspire them to compete at a high level will make an immediate impact on our team.

We are thrilled to have Coach Davis join our coaching staff and can’t wait to see the passion and intensity she brings to the sidelines this season.
