This is one method we’ve had great success with over the years. It’s definitely not the only way to do it, but it can be an easy way to add more forage and increase tonnage on your property.

We’ve seen good results broadcasting brassicas into standing corn, early-maturing soybeans, and even plots that have been browsed hard by deer.

Fertilizer. Seed. Drag. Rain. Heat.

Last night we fertilized, spread our Perennial Paradise, and worked it in with a four wheeler drag. Now we’ve got rain all day today and a stretch of warm sunny weather ahead.

About as perfect of a planting setup as you can ask for.

Red Milo performs best when planted into warm soils. Waiting until soil temperatures reach 60°F or higher helps promote fast germination, stronger establishment, and better overall growth.

In most areas, the ideal planting window is May through July after the risk of frost has passed. Planting too early into cold soils is one of the biggest mistakes people make with Red Milo.
