Bad weather wasn’t going to stop these Pirates from getting better.

A big thank you to Coach Varney for helping us secure gym access tonight so these five dedicated players could get their soccer workout in despite the rain. Their commitment, effort, and willingness to put in extra work when nobody is watching is what helps build a successful program.

Proud of these young athletes for choosing hard work over excuses. Keep grinding, Pirates! ⚽☠️❤️🖤

🚨 HISTORY MADE AT BELFRY MIDDLE SCHOOL! 🚨

On April 7, 2026, Belfry Middle School hosted the first girls soccer game in program history at Vipperman Stadium—and what a night it was! ⚽🔥

The Lady Pirates battled the Martin County Cardinals to a 0-0 tie at halftime, but came out firing in the second half!

💥 In the 31st minute, Izzy Sullivan scored the FIRST GOAL in program history!
💥 Just minutes later, 7th grader Kaylee Kidd added another!
💥 Kidd struck again for her second goal of the night!
💥 Aaliyah Hackney, stepping in from her usual goalie position, scored her first goal as a Lady Pirate!

🧤 8th grader Kylee Thompson was strong in goal, holding off the Cardinals until late in the game.

🏴‍☠️ FINAL SCORE: BELFRY 4 – MARTIN COUNTY 1

💪 In JV action, Aaliyah Church and Kylee Thompson each found the back of the net!
