A huge thank you to all the athletes who come out and put on a great show yesterday. Also a big thank you to all the viewers who who come out to enjoy radical kilted action. Once again so much support and assistance from everybody makes this one of my favorite days of the year.

We had the most athletes we've ever had at a Maine Celtic Celebration and the day went off without a hitch!

I will have scores input to www.heavyathlete.com hopefully tonight.

This weekend everybody! Schedule of other action including music, dog parade, cheese roll, is posted at www.MaineCelticCelebration.com.

Sunday! Sunday! Sunday! Rocks will be hurled, metal will be chucked, cabers will be tossed, kilts will fly! Be there to watch, or, if you're feeling hardy, compete!

Throwing starts at 9, please be there early to sign up, pay the entry fee of $30, and warmup prior to 9. First timer friendly event!

** info for athletes, I have 1 of each stone, not beautiful but the correct weights, 14, 28, 42, 56 weights, 16 and 22 hammers (only throwing heavy, no light), there will be no sheaf toss. If you throw any different size due to your class please bring along. Im not opposed to usage of other implements as long as they meet requirements. Pop tents are encouraged, but don't be scared to buddy up if needed. I will have water bottles available. We try to keep moving to keep the day relatively short and get all planned events in.
