A lifelong South Kitsap athlete and coach, Bradley Ecklund grew up playing baseball at South Kitsap Western Little League, earning two Major All-Star selections before playing for legendary coach Elton Goodwin at South Kitsap High School. His athletic career included three baseball state championship appearances and the 1994 South Kitsap football state championship, where he served as team captain and earned championship-game MVP honors. He is a member of the Kitsap Sports Hall of Fame and currently coaches baseball at South Kitsap Southern Little League and wrestling with Northwest Wrestling Club. His Little League All-Star teams have earned wins in each of the past two seasons. A father of four, his coaching philosophy centers on fundamentals, hard work, hustle, accountability, positive reinforcement, and—above all—building relationships with young athletes that get them excited to compete, improve, and play for one another.
