What a way to close out the season for Belen Golf! 🦅
Our Eagles represented Belen with pride at the State Tournament and competed with heart from start to finish. A huge congratulations to Eli on earning All-State honors and placed after shooting an impressive 74 today!
Every single player stepped up and played incredibly well all weekend long, showing the hard work, dedication, and teamwork that defines this program.
We also want to give a very special thank you to our seniors, Dalton and Eli, for their leadership, commitment, and the example they set for the younger players. Your impact on this team will not be forgotten, and you will truly be missed.
Proud of this team and everything they accomplished this season. The future of Belen Golf is bright! ⛳️🦅

Our Belen Eagles Boys Golf team teed off this morning at 9:20AM for the final round of the State Tournament!
The hard work, early mornings, long practices, and dedication have all led to this moment. Now it’s time to finish strong and leave it all on the course. 💪🦅

⛳🦅 FINAL SENIOR SPOTLIGHT — BELEN EAGLES GOLF 🦅⛳
As we head into districts, we wrap up our senior spotlights with Eli O’Canna. A competitor, a teammate, and a true Eagle through and through.
1️⃣ What got you into golf, and how many years have you been playing?
I started seriously playing golf with my dad when I was about 9 years old. Without him, I would probably have nothing to do with golf today.
2️⃣ Favorite high school golf memory (funny or clutch moment)?
There are so many great memories I’ve made over the years, it’s hard to pick just one. Some of the best times have been with teammates on overnight trips hanging out in the rooms, swimming, or even playing tag in Ruidoso.
3️⃣ Best score you’ve ever shot and were you bragging about it after?
My best score is a 74 right here in Belen. I don’t remember bragging, but I was definitely hyped about it for a few days!
4️⃣ If golf had walk-up music, what’s your song?
🎶 “You’re the Best” – From The Karate Kid 🎶
5️⃣ What does being a Belen Eagle mean to you?
Being a Belen Eagle means always giving your best in everything you do, trusting and supporting each other, and being part of a family that always has your back.
