Hello everyone!
MD State Fair Welsh Show Update

As of right now 50 ponies are entered for the Welsh show, so we should have enough to make Gold if everyone shows up! If you have room on your trailer it would be a good idea to bring an extra pony or two to have a few more than 50 ponies in case someone doesn’t show up. You can look at class counts on horseshowing.com. If you are entered and don’t plan on coming please let Beverly or Meg Gill Peitsch know! Or if you want to come and aren’t entered let them know!

Fun Welsh show up in New York! Entries are due today!

Greetings everyone!
Thank you for getting all your entries in for the Welsh shows this week.

We are definitely concerned about the predicted heat but we are optimistic that we can make the most of it and have a great weekend. Our hope is that everyone can do their best to be ready on time so that we can keep things moving and have the show finished before the heat of the afternoon rolls in. However, we may need to take some breaks to be sure everyone (including our staff ) stays safe. We will do our best to communicate if this need arises. And if you know you will have holds, please let us know ahead of time so we can try to alert the other exhibitors so that no one has to stand out in the sun any longer than necessary!

We are going to go ahead and start the show at 7:00 am instead of 8:00 each morning.
And then here are a few schedule changes:
1. We will run the Leadline on Thursday after the hunters instead of Friday morning
2. Saturday morning we will start with the Adult walk trot in the main ring at 7:00 am and then go into the Ridden followed by the Junior Handler (with our UK Judge). As soon as the Walk Trot concludes, that judge will move over to the trail ring and we will do the In hand trail BEFORE the Halter classes. I would estimate that the Halter classes will start approximately 9:00 am as originally planned

We will once again have water available at the rings and the air conditioning will be on in the pavilion.

We will have Quinn's ice cream selling ice cream on Friday afternoon, and Maryland Pony Breeders will be providing lunch (in the air conditioning) on Saturday.

Maryland Pony Breeders Midsummer Madness Show and Annual Show are a few days away. It's going to be hot! But don't worry there will be AC in the pavilion and complimentary water by the rings! We also will have Quinn's Ice Cream on site Friday afternoon from 1 to 3. Lunch will be provided on Saturday with cold cuts and cake! They are still accepting entries, so don't miss out on the fun!
