What a powerful three nights at our FCA Pre-Tryout Clinic! 🏐🙌
Our athletes worked hard sharpening their passing, setting, hitting, blocking, transition, out-of-system play, and both offensive and defensive skills. But more than anything, we wanted them to leave knowing a truth that matters far beyond the volleyball court:
Volleyball is what you do. It is not who you are.
Your identity isn’t determined by whether you make the team, what position you play, how many points you score, or what a coach thinks of your performance. Your identity is found in Christ. You are loved, chosen, and valued by Him before you ever step onto the court — and no tryout result can change that. ❤️
Throughout the clinic, we also challenged the girls to control the controllables. When we saw athletes displaying Respect, Integrity, Effort, and Teamwork, we recognized them with a wristband representing that value. Because while we may not always control the outcome, we can control how we compete, how we respond, and how we treat the people around us.
As these girls head into tryouts, our prayer is that they compete confidently and give their very best — while remembering that volleyball can be something they love, but it was never meant to define them.
