Join us in welcoming Christina, founder of Beach Bee Yoga, Dance, & SUP. Christina is a 500-hour Registered Yoga Teacher, fitness instructor, and health educator with over 20 years of teaching and dance experience. She’s also a professionally trained ballroom dance instructor, an NSPA-certified personal trainer and strength and conditioning specialist, an ACE-certified health coach, and I hold a Master’s degree in Nutrition and Integrative Health.

Christina loves blending yoga, dance & fitness, to create classes that are energizing, grounding, and fun. From beach flows to studio classes, her classes focus on building core strength, balance, and stability, while encouraging you to move with confidence, intention, and joy.

In addition to teaching public classes, Christina teaches yoga teachers, leads continuing education workshops, and hosts wellness retreats. Her goal is to create experiences that inspire growth, connection, and a little play, whether you’re stepping on a mat for the first time or deepening your path as a teacher.

To Christina, yoga is not just exercise, it’s sunshine, movement, community, and cultivating wellness of mind, body, and spirit.

Grab your girls, running shoes and join Wave Girl Wellness, Ocean City’s newest all-girls social club and Yoga Centric for a fun sunrise morning filled with movement, good vibes, beach yoga, and new connections, led by yoga teacher Phoebe Hennessey and Wave Girl Founder Molly Hoffman.

We’ll begin with a meet-up at Yoga Centric before heading out on a relaxed 30-minute run or walk through the beachy neighborhoods of Caine Woods and Montego Bay. Whether you’re a runner or prefer a laid-back walk, you’ll be paired with others who share your pace and run/walk plan for the morning.

Afterward, we’ll make our way to 142nd Street Beach for a stretchy, feel-good yoga flow by the ocean, designed to help you move, breathe, and reconnect with the morning and each other.

Following yoga, enjoy bagels & fresh-pressed juice from Bjuiced and, if you’re feeling adventurous, an optional ocean 🌊 dip to complete the experience.

This Mental Health Awareness Month, Yoga Centric reminds you to come as you are into each day, practice mindfulness — even after class is finished — connect to your breath, and most importantly, be kind to yourself.🧡

Whether you’re physically practicing asanas or mentally practicing off your mat, there are proven, positive links between mental health and yoga.🧘‍♀️🧠Practicing yoga actually increases levels of a brain chemical called gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA), associated with better moods and reduced anxiety. On top of that, studies using brain imaging show that people who regularly practice yoga have a thicker cerebral cortex and hippocampus, parts of the brain responsible for processing information, learning, and retaining memory, compared to nonpractitioners.

No matter what your practice looks like, or how many years you’ve been at it, you are doing enough for your mind, body, and soul by returning to yoga on and off the mat. The goal of yoga is not the fullest extent of a posture, but the liberation from suffering.

So many of the little details behind the scenes of our studio happen because of incredible humans like Kylie 🤍.

From Bel Air to the beach, she’s been part of our community since high school and has grown into one of the most amazing Community Managers we could’ve asked for. Her energy, care, and heart have touched us deeply.

As an incredible athlete herself, it feels only fitting that she’s now stepping into her next chapter as a therapist for athletes 🫶. She truly exemplifies yoga: bringing together all of her passions in service of helping others heal, grow, and thrive.
We’re so proud of you, Kylie. Thank you for being such a special part of the YC community. Once family, always family sweet girl!

Restorative Yoga invites us to stop striving and instead rest with support, awareness, and intention, opening the door to a deeper connection to self. Teaching it, however, is a skillful blend of patience, science and the ability to hold space for silence.

Rest for All will prepare you to:
• Teach Restorative Yoga in its true form
• Integrate restorative postures into active classes
• Combine with other modalities
• Deepen your personal practice

• Nervous system + relaxation response
• Trauma-sensitive teaching approaches

This summer, Yoga Centric invites you to a monthly oceanfront sound bath on 142nd Street Beach in Ocean City, May through August. 🌊

Step away from the noise of boardwalks, restaurants, and constant movement and into stillness. No experience needed. Just bring a blanket, an open heart, and a willingness to receive.

Offered on Sundays May 31, June 14, July 12 & August 9 at 7:00pm. 🌅
