Game Goes Down To The Wire As STX MISFITS Loses To Marucci On Final Play

STX MISFITS fell to Marucci 9-8 on Sunday on the final play of the game. The game was tied at eight in the bottom of the fourth when Paxton singled, scoring one run.

Drew collected three hits in three at bats in the loss. Drew hit an inside the park grand slam in the second inning, tripled in the first inning, and singled in the fourth inning.

STX MISFITS got on the board in the top of the first inning after Isaac E walked, and Ayden G singled to center field, each scoring one run.

STX MISFITS added five more runs in the top of the second inning on two hits. Drew hit an inside the park grand slam, and Nathan S drew a walk, scoring one run.

A single by Gabriel E extended the STX MISFITS lead to 8-0 in the top of the third inning.

Marucci scored six runs on six hits in the bottom of the third inning. Liam hit an inside the park home run, scoring two runs, Treyten doubled, scoring one run, Paxton doubled, scoring one run, Robbie doubled, scoring one run, and a steal of home scored one run.

Marucci captured the lead, 9-8, in the bottom of the fourth after Liam stole home, Treyten doubled down the right field line, and Paxton singled to center field, each scoring one run.

Jayden E opened the game for STX MISFITS. The pitcher surrendered eight hits and six runs over two and one-third innings, striking out one and walking one. Treyten stepped on the bump first for Marucci. The starter allowed three hits and six runs over two innings, striking out four and walking six.

Isaac led STX MISFITS with two walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, amassing six walks for the game. Isaac, Jayden, and Aries G each stole multiple bases for STX MISFITS. STX MISFITS stole 11 bases in the game. STX MISFITS were sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Isaac made the most plays with three.

Marucci amassed 12 hits in the game. Paxton, Bucky, Robbie, Liam, and Treyten each collected two hits for Marucci. Paxton and Liam each drove in two runs for Marucci. Bucky, Liam, and Rhett each stole multiple bases for Marucci. Marucci ran wild on the base paths, accumulating 11 stolen bases for the game. Marucci were sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. James made the most plays with five.

Second-Inning Spurt Lead STX MISFITS Past STX Diamondbacks

STX MISFITS defeated STX Diamondbacks 13-5 on Sunday thanks in part to seven runs in the second inning. Jayden E singled, scoring one run, Angelo Jr E drew a walk, scoring one run, David L doubled, scoring one run, Oscar V drew a walk, scoring one run, Aries G singled, scoring one run, and Nathan S drew a walk, scoring one run.

A steal of home by Tanner E extended the STX MISFITS lead to 9-0 in the top of the third inning.

STX Diamondbacks scored five runs on five hits in the bottom of the third inning. Aj doubled, scoring one run, Jordan G singled, scoring one run, Adrian C tripled, scoring two runs, and Jayden grounded out, scoring one run.

Isaac E opened the game for STX MISFITS. The righty gave up six hits and five runs over five innings, striking out five and walking one. Jayden stepped on the bump first for STX Diamondbacks. The starter allowed six hits and seven runs over two innings, striking out two and walking five.

Number seven hitter, Jayden, showed the depth of STX MISFITS's lineup, by leading them with two hits in three at bats. Aries, David, and Drew each drove in one run for STX MISFITS. STX MISFITS had a strong eye at the plate, collecting nine walks for the game. Nathan and Oscar led the team with two free passes each. Tanner, Isaac, Jayden, Aries, Oscar, David, and Drew each stole multiple bases for STX MISFITS. STX MISFITS stole 25 bases in the game. STX MISFITS were sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Nathan made the most plays with five.

Adrian drove the middle of the lineup, leading STX Diamondbacks with two runs batted in. The 3-hole hitter went 2-for-2 on the day. Mason L stole four bases. STX Diamondbacks ran wild on the base paths, piling up eight stolen bases for the game. STX Diamondbacks turned one double play in the game. STX Diamondbacks didn't commit a single error in the field. Aj J had the most chances in the field with seven.
