The Kansas City Royals select Blake Mitchell out of Sinton #8 overall in the draft.

He’s the second highest Coastal Bend prospect ever to be picked after Burt Hooton in 1971 ( #2/UT).

The Mitchell family tells Brandon Schaff TV that Blake will forgo his LSU scholarship and will go pro.

Doesn’t mean will sign for this amount, but the projected slot value for the #8 pick is $5,980,100.
