Today we pause to remember and honor Carlos Carrizales, a respected law enforcement leader whose service and dedication left a lasting mark on Bee County.
Ten years ago, Bee County lost Sheriff Carrizales, but his legacy continues to live on in the community he faithfully served. Before becoming Sheriff of Bee County, he dedicated over two decades to the Beeville Police Department from 1983 to 2005, providing safety, leadership, and service to the citizens of Beeville.
Sheriff Carrizales was more than a law enforcement officer. He was a mentor, a leader, and a steady presence during times of challenge and change. The true measure of his impact is still visible today. Many of the men and women he guided and developed now serve in leadership roles across our community, continuing the values of integrity, professionalism, and service that he instilled in them.
His commitment to Bee County was not just a career — it was a calling. As we remember him today, we honor not only his years of service but the example he set for future generations of law enforcement officers.
His legacy remains strong, and his influence continues to shape Bee County for the better.
Never forgotten.
