📙Story time: Just a few years ago, Feathered Forest started with a pretty simple idea...there just weren’t many options to go quail and pheasant hunting in the Greater Houston area. We wanted to start a preserve that wasn’t too far or too pricey, especially if you just wanted to get out for a good day hunt without turning it into a full-blown trip to South Texas or the Dakotas.
So, Beau & I decided to build the kind of place we wished existed. Somewhere you can bring your buddies, colleagues, or family. A laid-back Texas upland preserve where you can enjoy and even teach the sport to the next generation of upland hunters.
Feathered Forest is about making upland bird hunting more accessible without sacrificing the quality. Whether you’re experienced or just getting into it, we look forward to welcoming your group to our escape into the piney woods north of Houston. Hope you join us next season.
