Orbit Futbol Club’s primary purpose is to provide a challenging and fun soccer experience for as many children as possible, in Lawrence county. We provide organizational support and guidance for players, coaches and volunteers; a safe playing environment; and where appropriate, fair and challenging competition.We promote the values of fair play, good sportsmanship and both team and individual acco

LATEST GAME DAY UPDATE FOR SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 5:

U13 and U10 games will be played as scheduled.

Due to the heat index, U6 and U8 games will NOT be played tomorrow.

Please remind your players to bring plenty of water! Players are more than welcome to refill their water bottles at the concession stand throughout the day.

At this time, we are planning to reschedule the U6 and U8 games. Please hang tight while we work through the details. More information regarding the rescheduled games will be shared once everything is finalized.

Orbit FC is excited to announce our first ever Make Your Own Ball Day event and you are invited! Please join us for a fun night of soccer, creativity, and giving back! We hope to see you there!

⚽️ What is Make Your Own Ball Day?
Make Your Own Ball Day is a nonprofit initiative that encourages kids to create their own soccer balls using recycled materials and was founded to inspire children through soccer and play. The mission is to help kids create, connect, give, appreciate, and play. By building a ball from scratch, participants not only enjoy a fun DIY activity but also gain insight into the lives of children in developing countries, understanding the value of gratitude and generosity.

🏃‍♂️‍➡️ Who is invited to Make Your Own Ball Day?
ALL Orbit players, families, coaches, and volunteers as well as all Middle School and High School Soccer players and families! If you love soccer, having fun, and giving back, MYOBD is for YOU!

🏟️ Where and when is Make Your Own Ball Day?
MYOBD will take place on Friday, September 11 from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. at the BNL High School Soccer Complex on Stars Blvd. Parking is available at the Soccer/Cross Country parking lot or just across the street in the High School parking lot.

🥅 What happens at Make Your Own Ball Day?
Imagine a big soccer party with no shoes and DIY soccer balls! There will be music, games, friends, and a lot of fun all under the Friday Night Lights of the soccer field! You can either make your ball at home before you come using recycled materials (newspapers, plastic grocery bags, tape, etc.) and bring it with you to the event or you can create one at ball-making stations at the event using donated recycled materials. Participants will go barefoot on the turf to play games, practice soccer drills, and participate in the largest game of Sharks and Minnows in Orbit history!

❤️ Families are encouraged (but not required) to bring a new or lightly used soccer ball along with them to donate to the Make Your Own Ball Day organization. Balls will be donated to underserved populations to help more kids have access to the game of soccer.

Are you signed up to referee this fall?! If so, be sure to catch one of these referee informational meetings to get you up to speed before the season begins. There are 2 dates. Saturday, August 22 @ 9:00 a.m. and Monday, August 24 @ 6:00 p.m. You only need to attend one!
