🥎 Pool Play Wrap-Up 🥎
What a day for Plex Softball! This may have been our biggest pool play recap of the summer!!
16U-Shags | Gloucester, MA
The team finished 2-1 in pool play, earning the No. 3 seed out of 13 teams. The offense was on fire, collecting 20 hits in just 11 innings. In the circle, #11 Alexis S. (’28) and #19 Charley Mae R. (’28) were outstanding, leading the way with dominant performances all day.
16U-Jurta | Gloucester, MA
The Jurta squad opened tournament play with a strong win and will look to keep the momentum rolling into bracket play.
18U-Gold | Hollis, NH
The pitching staff was lights out. #2 Sadie L. (Post Grad) earned the win, allowing just one run over six innings, while #13 Ren M. (’26) tossed a six-inning shutout, helping the team secure a tie. The team heads into bracket play as the higher seed in the first game.
18U-Handy | Milford, NH
#2 Elin H. (’27) was sensational, throwing a complete-game one-hitter to lead the team to victory. The team also earned a higher seed for Sunday’s opening bracket game.
14U-Premier | Waterville, ME
Competing in a double-elimination tournament, The team bounced back after dropping its opener by winning three straight games. The team outscored opponents 57-11 on the day, finishing 3-1 with another outstanding all-around pitching effort.
We’d also like to recognize our 18U-Premier team, who wrapped up their season this weekend at the Summer Nationals in Myrtle Beach, SC. Congratulations to the players and coaches on a fantastic season! Such an amazing group!
