With four of six Chase races now complete, the championship picture is becoming much clearer, and Dave Olejniczak has taken a commanding position heading into the final two rounds.

After leading by 14 points following Texas and 12 points after Watkins Glen, Olejniczak has steadily increased his advantage through Dover and Charlotte. Following another strong performance at Charlotte Motor Speedway, the Nitro Racing driver now sits 72 points clear at the top of the standings, putting one hand firmly on the X-Series Chase trophy.

Matt Danson remains second and is mathematically still in the fight, but the gap has grown significantly over the last two rounds. Behind him, Wayne Bourke has climbed into third place and sits 88 points back, while Brenton Hobson and Blaine Densley round out the top five after another important points-paying race.

Further back, Brad Newman remains within striking distance of the top five, but the championship battle appears to be narrowing rapidly. Josh Purwien, Aaron Borg, Ethan Winter, Tom Freer, Jarrad Filsell, and Sam Chapman all face substantial deficits with only two races remaining.

The biggest story of the Chase so far has been Olejniczak's consistency. While several contenders have suffered costly races through Dover and Charlotte, the championship leader has continued to bank points every week and has turned a close title fight into a sizeable advantage.

With only two races left in the Chase, the pressure is now on the chasing pack. They need race wins, stage points, and near-perfect ex*****on if they are to prevent Olejniczak from completing one of the most dominant Chase runs in X-Series history.

Talladega delivered exactly what it always does… absolute chaos.

An incident-filled race saw the field constantly reshuffled, survival becoming just as important as speed. Through all of it, Keith Hackney came out on top, timing the draft perfectly and avoiding trouble to take the win.

Dave Olejniczak came home just 0.029 seconds behind in P2, while Zachary R Sears completed the podium after staying in the fight all race long. The margins were razor thin, with the top 10 separated by just over a second at the line.

Superspeedway racing at Talladega is chaos at its finest, and this one was no different. Big packs, constant position changes, and zero room for error. Hackney kept the #6 Nitro Racing truck in the right place all race long, avoiding trouble and making the right moves in the closing laps to come out on top.

That’s another major result in what is turning into a dominant season. When it comes to NASCAR drafting tracks, Hackney is proving he’s the driver to beat.
