🎂 HAPPY 22ND TO THE TBR LEGEND HIMSELF — Brock LEWIS! 🎂

The big fella is absolutely flying at the moment.

Qualified sparky by trade, locked down the love of his life, gets on the Rams like there’s no tomorrow, and in the virtual world he’s wheeling the TBR #8 and cracking the 5K iRating mark.

Not bad for a bloke who’s had about 100 different nicknames since joining the team.

B-Rock. Plugga.
And about 98 others we’ve forgotten.

Fair to say he’s one of the most loved blokes in TBR…

Which unfortunately also means he gets more s**t hung on him than just about anyone.

And lately there’s been one new rule added to the operation…

9:30pm hits and that’s it.

Discord on mute.

No more talking.

Missus has pulled the pin for the night.

He can play but no talking!!!

Hopefully 22 is also the year he can finally make it through without flooding another bathroom.

👑 CHAD — THE KING OF iRACING

Chad is currently filthy there’s been bugger-all dirt love in the iRacing updates.

The King wants updates. The King demands updates.

We’re actually starting to think Chad might be an iRacing tester, because no normal bloke studies every build note this closely.

Every update drops and Chad’s straight in looking for dirt changes.

Nothing there?

Day ruined.

At this stage we’re expecting a strongly worded 14-page complaint to iRacing headquarters.

While we’ve been doing absolutely nothing worth reporting, Barbs went and finished 4th in the WA Go Kart Title.

Apparently someone at TBR is still capable of achieving something in the real world.

The social media side of TBR has been a little lazy over the last few weeks, so we’ve missed a fair bit. Time to catch everyone up on what’s been happening around the team.

Not a lot happening in Discord during the day lately.
The biggest news is Cameron has headed off to America.

🏁 League Racing
JSI Late Models
Week one belonged to Josh, taking the top step and making sure the entire group chat knew about it for the following week.
Week two looked like Barbs’ turn. He was quick early, had plenty of pace…
Then came the DNF.
Back to reminding everyone how quick he was.

Wheels Up – Tuesday Nights

Lamb was absolutely flying, putting the #7 into the Dash.
Hobbsy wasn’t far behind, getting the new-look #17 into the Dash as well.

The two rookies had some of the experienced TBR boys wondering what was going on.
Come feature time…
About the only thing anyone heard from Crew Chief was…

“The yellows are out.”
And they were.
More yellows than a five-year-old’s bed sheets.

Safe to say it was a solid night of DNFs.
Chad somehow managed a Top 10…
But that wasn’t the biggest story.
Toe handed him two black flags.
The race finished…
The group chat didn’t.
Chad was still blowing up about it at 3:00am Thursday morning.
Safe to say he took it well.

We don’t normally talk about setups…
Actually, who are we kidding?
The sets are quick.

Big Cat has been absolutely on fire in both the Sprint Car and Midget, collecting wins for fun.
Josh and Barbs have also been picking up some big SOF wins.

The TBR sets are right up there with the best…
Or we’ve just copied everyone else’s.
Either way…
The sets are quick.

🚨 TBR Tribunal
Toe found himself before the TBR Tribunal this week.
After a bit of contact on track, one driver decided an iRacing protest wasn’t enough…
He wrote a full-blown novel.
Apparently Toe has:
● Prior disciplinary history.
● Previous suspensions.
● Previous chat bans.
● And is now apparently a threat to the integrity and safety of future iRacing.

The report even claimed Toe said…
“Be a man and move on.”
Safe to say…

He didn’t.
Instead, he submitted what can only be described as a university assignment asking the Stewards to “protect the integrity and safety of future events.”
We’ve even included a snippet of the report in this week’s News Drop.
No names…
We’ll let everyone work out who wrote the essay.
Toe survives another week.

We’ve got blokes, wives, girlfriends… we’re pretty sure the family pets are next.

🎉🏁 HAPPY 21ST COOPS 🏁🎉
Today Cooper Wilson turns 21.
The bloke from Launceston has officially hit the milestone.
It feels like yesterday we were running around online with the T14 when he was just a 15-year-old kid having a crack.

Fast forward a few years and he became one of the original members of TBR and helped build the team into what it is today.

We’ve seen him grow from a kid still at school into a fully qualified tradesman.
Along the way he’s become a multiple series winner, a champion and one of the most successful drivers to pull on the TBR colours.

But more importantly, he’s been a bloody good mate.
Whether it’s Discord, gaming, racing, helping the boys with setups or just being part of the carry on, Coops has always been there.
Now…

We couldn’t do a birthday post without mentioning the shoe.
Most blokes celebrate with a trophy.
Most blokes celebrate with champagne.
Cooper celebrates by taking his shoe off and drinking beer out of it.

A tradition that absolutely nobody asked for.
But somehow it’s become part of TBR folklore.
We’ve shared a lot of laps, a lot of laughs and plenty of late nights over the years.
It’s been unreal watching your journey from a kid having a crack in the T14 to the bloke you’ve become today.

More importantly, you’ve been a bloody good mate along the way.

You don’t need a better example than a couple of TBR boys jumping on a plane and heading to Tassie for a p**s up to celebrate your 21st.

🏁 THE CURTAIN COMES DOWN ON SMS 🏁

Well...

that's it.

8 weeks done.

The biggest midget series on iRacing.

Big fields.

Big money.

Big crashes.

And somehow TBR survived most of it.

👑 Cooper

The defending champ.

Won Round 1 and looked like he was about to do it all again.

Then the series turned into a bit of a fist fight.

But champions find a way.

Still found a way to drag it back to 3rd overall.

Defending a title in iRacing is one of the toughest things you can do and Cooper did a bloody good job of it.

🚀 Shute

If anyone finds a four-leaf clover, send it to Shute.

Black screens.

Bad luck.

More bad luck.

Then some extra bad luck just for fun.

But don't get it twisted.

This bloke is an absolute weapon.

Everyone in TBR knows it.

He'll be back next season and if things finally go his way, the rest of the field is in trouble.

Also...

If anyone from Centre Com or Aftershock is reading this...

Shute is currently accepting sponsorships for a new PC.

🍻 JDUB

Apparently retirement was on the cards.

Then he rolls up and grabs a podium and finishes inside the Top 10.

Time in the sim isn't what it used to be.

Life gets busy.

But every now and then JDUB reminds everyone he's still got plenty left in the tank.

Still fast.

Still dangerous.

And somehow still hanging around when the money is getting handed out.

🔧 Brock "The Plug"

Big series from Plugger.

Seems a long time ago he was messaging the boss every week asking for a seat at TBR.

Now he's gone from asking for a seat to becoming one of TBR's top drivers.

Got quicker.

Got smarter.

Got more consistent.

And every series he looks a little more comfortable running with the front guys.

The scary part?

He's only getting started.

Top job Plugger.

🦶 The Toe

The broadcast threw out a random question to the dash drivers...

"If you could straight-line one driver, who would it be?"

Almost everyone picked The Toe.

Which probably tells its own story.

Plenty of pace.

Plenty of talent.

Plenty of talking.

He's still got a lot of work to do before he cements himself in that main group of drivers.

The potential is there.

Now it's about putting it all together.

And maybe zipping the lips up every now and then.

Jeff might not have been around for the whole series.

But he'll be remembered.

Not for race results.

Not for lap times.

For the Discord banter.

The carry on.

The random comments.

And somehow becoming one of the most liked blokes in TBR in about five minutes.

Joined later in the series.

Showed speed.

Showed potential.

Showed up whenever he felt like it.

Plenty to build on heading into the next one.

Race Control.

The only bloke in Australia who can hand out penalties and still have everyone like him afterwards.

An unreal effort all series.

Top job mate.

We did ask if Officer would be welcomed back next season.

The response was immediate.

"No."

🚀 WHEELS UP LEAGUE 🚀

Well...

We had wheels up alright.

New league.

Big turnout.

Plenty of TBR sign ups.

The excitement lasted right up until everyone realised the opener was Weedsport.

An early warning sign that things were about to get wild.

🚀 Shute

Looked like the bloke to beat.

Out front.

Cruising.

Looking smooth.

Then his screen went black.

Honestly at this point Shute must owe someone money.

The amount of bad luck this bloke cops needs investigating.

👑 Cooper

Looked fast.

Looked comfortable.

Looked like a podium chance.

Then Officer arrived.

Contact was made.

Questions were asked.

Cooper somehow still brought it home in 4th.

👮 Officer

Officer was asking why he hasn't been mentioned in the recent social posts.

Well...

what exactly were we supposed to write?

The bloke has spent the last few weeks looking after his mum's cat and dog while she's away.

Then turns up Tuesday night and immediately starts making his presence felt.

Home in 5th.

A few cars moved.

A few teammates annoyed.

And just like that...

he's back in the social posts.

🍻 Brock "The Rum"

The social media team would like to issue a correction.

Last week we reported Brock had a DNF in SMS.

Turns out he didn't.

He was kind enough to let us know.

Several times.

Top 10 in SMS.

Top 10 again in Wheels Up.

Quietly putting together a nice little run while the rest of us are finding new and creative ways to destroy race cars.

Top job Plugger.

The fake news department apologises.

🐱 Big Cat

Out of race control.

Back behind the wheel.

Made the feature.

Looked solid.

Found a fence.

Everyone relaxed.

Normal service resumed.

🐐 Hobbsy

Hobbsy finally returned to league racing.

Which was brave.

Because judging by the results, he clearly hadn't returned to driving.

2 laps in qualifying.

2 laps in the heat.

1 lap in the B Main.

Five laps total.

Most blokes need longer than that to find the track map.

Turned up.

Wrecked everything he touched.

Left before anyone could ask questions.

An absolutely elite display of doing the least with the most enthusiasm.

🚨 Jeff & The Toe

The two blokes running the league.

What could possibly go wrong?

To be fair they've done an okay job.

A few calls questioned.

A few decisions changed.

A few drivers confused.

Standard league racing really.

We're backing them in though.

Because honestly...

it can only get better from here.

🏁 SMS TOMORROW NIGHT

One round left.

One last dance.

The #1 sticker is probably coming off Cooper's car.

Not the result he wanted.

Not the result TBR wanted.

But there's still one more chance to finish strong.

And if Tuesday night taught us anything...

anything can happen.

🔥 TBR FOCUSED 🔥

The socials have been pretty quiet lately.

To be fair there wasn't much to post.

Every race seemed to follow the same script, and it wasn't exactly the kind of story anyone was rushing to share.

The boys were doing a fantastic job of turning every promising weekend into a masterclass in self-sabotage.

Any momentum we found lasted about 3 laps before someone found a fence.

The content team had quietly started updating their résumés.

Then this week happened.

👑 Cooper

Back where he belongs.

The #1 isn't on the car for decoration.

One of the best in the country when he's rolling and SMS got a reminder of that this week.

Home in the top 5 and right in the fight heading into the final rounds.

💰 JDUB

Forget the rumours.

Forget the carry on.

This was the JDUB show.

After weeks of battling, he rolled in and reminded everyone exactly why he's been around so long.

P3.

Best drive in years.

Fast when it mattered.

Smart when it counted.

Money in the pocket.

Smile back on the face.

And 100 percent got design of the year.

The old bloke wasn't just rolling again...

He was putting the field on notice.

Brett and JDUB both posting 305 wins.

Honestly embarrassing.

The easiest kill in iRacing and they're carrying on like they won the Knoxville Nationals.

Showed speed.

A DNF.

If "almost" paid prize money he'd own half of Victoria by now.

The young blokes keep turning up.

One of those nights.

Nothing clicked.

Which is annoying because a bad night for Shute is still usually better than everyone else's good night.

Then the garage door might come down for a bit of long service leave.

🔥 AUSTRALIAN TITLE — DONE & DUSTED 🔥

3 massive nights in the sim…

and somehow… we all survived.

Could we have grabbed a podium?

Yeah probably.

Did we?

No.

But honestly… couldn’t ask for much more from the TBR boys.

🔧 HOW THE BOYS WENT 🔧

• Shute — led the charge.Hammer down in the feature, P4… just missing the podium.Back to the wall all week.Doesn’t race as much as he used to… still turns up and runs with the best like it’s nothing.Big event driver. Big performance.

• Cooper — right there early.Calls didn’t fall his way, but the speed was back.Starting to lock back in again… and when he does, he’s right up there with the best in the country. No doubt.

• Brock “The Rum” — B Main → Top 10 in the A.That’s a proper effort.Got everything out of it… nothing left.For this field, that’s about as good as it gets.

• JDUB — C Main → just missing the A.Strong drive. Kept working through it all night.Starting to find that rhythm again… and when he’s on, he’s always right in the mix.

• Big Cat — solid in the B Main.Just started a bit too far back to really make the ground he needed.Speed was there though.

• Chad “The Sock” — deep all week.Plenty of work to do… but kept digging.That’s all you can ask.

Massive effort from the boys.

But truth is…

this thing is way bigger than results.

Way bigger than the TBR logo.

It’s packed Discord every night.Blokes jumping in… talking rubbish… racing… arguing about setups… same old.

It’s finding some random game on Steam and suddenly there’s 6 of us on it.

It’s setups getting shared, tips getting thrown around, everyone trying to get a little bit better.

It’s the s**t talk… the laughs… the carry on…

and still rocking up the next night like nothing happened.

That’s the good stuff.

Big thanks to SMS and DML for coming together and putting on an unreal show.3 nights done right.

🔥 AUSTRALIAN TITLE – NIGHT ONE WRAP 🔥

Night one?

Absolute dog fight.

Proper iRacing dirt.Tight, aggressive, clean…the standard everyone talks about but rarely gets.

This was it.

🔧 HOW THE TBR BOYS WENT 🔧

• Shute — locked into Sunday’s big dance.Back to the wall type of drive. Had to earn every inch.Got stronger as the race went on and took it right to some of the best on the service.That’s big race driver stuff.

• Cooper — locked in as well.Starting to find that groove again… and you can see it building.Calm, controlled, no panic — just chipped away and got the job done.Danger signs for the rest of the field.

• JDUB & Brock — both into the A Main.Right in the fight all night.Didn’t quite get the result, but the pace is there and the points are stacking.Both building into something heading into the big one.

• Big Cat — straight back into league racing and into the A.Looked fast, pushed into the Top 10… then a DNF cut it short.

Still jumped straight back into Discord after, calling moves, helping the boys.Impact off the track is just as big as on it.

• Chad “The Sock” — tough night.Nothing really stuck, bit of bad luck mixed in.But still there, still swinging. That’s what counts.

Hilton possibly rolling in… still unconfirmed.A couple more lurking as well.

🔥 BIGGEST 4 NIGHTS OF THE YEAR – MIDGET STYLE 🔥

Well… in midgets anyway.

Action kicks off TONIGHT with SMS heading to Fairbury — and if there’s one thing we know about small tracks…

they are the gift that just keeps on giving…

and taking friendships with it.

Last week?

Honestly nothing to write home about.

Without Shute it would’ve been a complete walkover…

and the only bloke actually trying to keep things together was the Big Cat running race control.

Which, judging by the amount of abuse he cops from the boys…

you’d think he’s getting paid for it.

He’s not.

In fact he’s basically volunteering to get yelled at by blokes who just drove it into the fence…

and then immediately blame race control.

🔧 TBR LINE-UP SHAKE UP 🔧

We’ve reshaped things heading into a massive week:

• Keaton “Jeff” Griffiths — somehow now a full-time TBR driver (no one really knows how)
• Hilton Rowett — quietly fast and already making the rest look second rate
• Officer — officially DONE with league racing… a real tear job, scenes in the sheds
• JDUB — out of action for BOTH main events… and just like that the title chances have left the chat

Things you absolutely love to see.

From tomorrow…

we roll straight into 3 nights of absolute carnage.

90 odd cars.
iRacing midgets.
Egos everywhere.

but he’s in, and that’s all that matters.

talked up a comeback for weeks…

probably opened the sim once…

and has now officially ruled himself OUT.
