Does it ever feel like everyone needs something from you?
Your family.
Your job.
Your friends.
Your community.
And by the end of the day, there's very little left for you.
Many women have spent years being the reliable one.
The strong one.
The one everyone can count on.
But here's something I've learned:
Being available to everyone doesn't mean you have to be available all the time. It really is OK to put your phone on Do Not Disturb for a while. When I first did this, I felt like I was going to miss something. Turns out that is the best thing for managing your access and keeping the distractions and noise to a minimum.
Healthy boundaries are not selfish.
They're necessary.
Every time you say yes to something that drains you, you may be saying no to your own well-being.
