Golf Club Loft and Lie Adjustments and Fittings

This person recently came into the shop with a consistent 7 yard miss at 150 yards. We determined that a 1.4 degree upright adjustment was needed to center his shot pattern. His pattern immediately improved with shots missing the range center by less than a yard. Our dynamic impact analysis showed that he consistently delivered the club at 89.8 degrees to a vertical reference line.

The loft and lie angles of your clubs can change drastically over time just through general practice and play. It’s not uncommon for lofts to change ½ club and lie angles to change between 1 and 3 degrees. To put that in perspective, a 6-iron lie being 1 degree too upright or too flat will result in a shot that is 10 yards left or right of target.

Part of our fitting process is to analyze shot pattern dispersion. we use a state of the art launch monitor and customers hit from a fiberbuilt hitting mat. Independent review shows launch data collected hitting from Fibertech mats closely matches launch data collected during grass sessions. You can be assured your shot grouping analysis will be accurate when measured in our simulator.
