Congratulations to Evan McElwayne, named the River States Conference Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week!

The junior finished second overall at the Bethany Invitational, covering the 8K course in 29:07.3 and leading the Golden Bears to a fourth-place team finish.

🏆 OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK!

Gonzalo Sabeh has been named the River States Conference Offensive Player of the Week! 🐻⚽

The sophomore midfielder recorded one goal and two assists for four points in Tech’s 6-1 win over Pikeville, scoring the game-winner and having a hand in three of the Golden Bears’ six goals.

Julia Silva delivered the late winner as WVU Tech edged Mount Vernon Nazarene, 2-1, Saturday afternoon in Beckley.

Shiloh Goodwin scored Tech’s first goal, with Sofia Filgueira picking up the assist, before Silva broke the 1-1 tie with just 20 seconds remaining.
