A confidence boost is exactly what our driver needed after our wreck 2 weeks ago. The car was fast and he was on point.
He spun the fastest laps in warm ups earning him “hot lap hero” 👍
The track kept getting faster from there!!
A Field of 25 junior slingshots would then time trial for their starting positions. 
He ran even faster laps in time trials, but so did everybody else ! Lol. Timed 13th.

Qualifier 4-2 !
Which put him starting 9th in the feature ! Made his way up to 4th rather quickly. A caution had him starting on the outside which then , pushed him back to 10th. And after 18 laps of clean, FUN RACING, he finished a strong 6th! (Earning a new front axle)

 Thank you again to Michael Esterly and Jerry Schott Jr. and of course Linda’s Speedway for putting on the show for the kids. Plus all the prize money gifts and pizza 🍕! We had a lot of fun !!  

Big shout out to our friends, Joey, Logan, and Anna ! Joey and Anna timed in the top 6 and Logan was super fast winning his qualifier!! It was a great night for “Team Gene” 😂🏁

We’ll be back at Linda’s in 2 weeks for our final points race!!

Our driver is healed and he’s ready to roll tomorrow for the biggest show of the season !

Although we missed the last race of this mini series yesterday MJ had enough points to stay 3rd in points 👍. Thank you for doing this for the slingshot teams!
Our driver will continue to rest this week and get the car ready for the “Lebanon Valley 18” at Linda’s !

Linda’s Speedway was proud to be part of the series this season for the All Star and Junior Slingshots, with $1,200 paid out to the Top 5 finishers across the two divisions.

We’d like to thank everyone once again who has been checking in on MJ this week. He’s had a few doctors appointments and is starting to feel a little better! He’s just extremely bored 😂

Unfortunately, we will not be racing the summer spectacular at Shellhammer‘s on Saturday .
However we will be at Pheasantland for the Labor Day shootout on Sunday so if you’re in the area stop on down! 🏁
The weather is supposed to be gorgeous ☀️ 
We’re happy for a 4 day weekend to stay low-key and get our driver back to top notch !!

First off… MJs ok. He has a mild concussion with just some head and eye pain , and some muscle soreness. He’s taking it easy the next few days.
Second, thanks to everyone who has called, texted, checked in… it’s much appreciated ❤️

After weeks of struggling with issues we finally had a fast car too!
Heat :10-5.
Invert started him pole and he battled with the second place for a few laps and many cautions .
Well.. the rest went downhill from there . But the safety equipment did its job and that’s what’s most important.
Unfortunately Last night was the last points race at Action track and due to some car issues and A DNF, we ended our season 8th in points!
Not a bad season overall …. Just some bad luck 🍀.
We’ll assess the damage and keep an eye on our driver and move onto the next!

Made the redraw…. Redrew 4th.

Double podiums with the little cars tonight!! A hard fought 🥈 with the 13.5 sprint against some tough competition!!
He recently got another car, another up and coming Sprint class and he pulled off the win his first time racing it!!

Friday we’ll be back at Linda’s for another points race!!

Sometimes it’s fun just to be a spectator and be on the other side! Mom Dad and mila getting dirty in the stands and MJ in the pits on the GKR CREW!! 🏁
If weather allows, we’ll be back at action track tomorrow for a matinee event!!

Action track recap:
We finally found some speed but the track was still 💩!!
Heat: 3-4
Feature : Started 7th but got spun from behind on lap 2 which sent him to the rear, he fought back against the track to 9th.

Two more races to go at this track as the season winds down! 

Thanks to everyone for the advice, pep talks , parts, etc ! We truly have some amazing people in our corner!
