We had a great effort tonight. I couldn’t be more proud of our players. We answered the bell every time adversity hit and made plays. Evart has some great skill players. We knew that we weren’t able to match their athleticism, so we had to rely on our strengths and be a bit methodical offensively, and ask our defense to step up and play solid football for four quarters. Our 3 seniors gave us everything they had on both sides of the ball. Without them this game would have had a different outcome. Our juniors, who took their lumps playing varsity as sophomores, aren’t physically imposing, but they compete with everything they have. The boys definitely earned this one. Now its time heal up and prepare for tremendously talented MLS team.
