🗓️ Save the Date / Beyond Print: A Small Press Publishing Panel, as part of Portland Poetry Confluence; Sat., Oct. 3, 11:30 a.m., 2305 SE 50th Ave., Portland, 97215

The panel "will feature three notable small press publishers discussing the nature of releasing non-traditional literary artifacts, talking through how and where their current publishing practices stay faithful to and/or diverge from traditional publishing. Featuring folks from Antiquated Future, Buckman, and Fonograf Editions."

Portland Poetry Confluence is an independent festival bringing together poets and audiences from the Pacific NW and beyond.

Infusing the old writing process with some easy-breezy games sounds like a fun way to spend a long weekend! ☀️ 📔 😎

T L Murchison lists some creative flights of fancy in "Writing a Novel: Make a Game of it" for Laterpress. Here's one of our favorites: Break The Glass

"Got a passage you’re not happy with? Print out each sentence on a sheet of paper, cut up into strips and throw them all in a hat. Draw them out randomly and put them together in that order. A variation on this is to cut the sentences themselves into three parts (subject, verb and object), toss all of them into a hat and after drawing them out, try to put them back together into sentences."
