Happy Independence Day! Let's remember what we're celebrating. The fact is, without an armed populace, this country wouldn't exist. The 2nd Amendment was intended to facilitate a way to maintain freedom and self-governance. It's not about hunting, it's about giving us a way to prevent tyranny. To all my customers, and for those with questions on the new laws...

While VCDL Page - Virginia Citizens Defense League, Inc. and GOA won an injunction this past Thursday, the ruling was less than complete. The injunction only applies to the Virginia State Police and is NOT a statewide injunction. This, coupled with the new law allowing civil lawsuits against businesses in the industry has forced us to refrain from transferring any of the items covered by SB749 after June 30th. We want to be in business to serve your needs for the long term and will do what we need to in order to protect both you and our interests.

Also, be aware that the private sale background check will be reinstated on July 1, 2026. We will offer private sale background checks for VCDL members, as we did before the injunction was issued in October, 2025. VCDL is working to repeal this law once and for all.

Gadsden Guns will be open extended hours between now and June 30th. Delays are currently running about 48 hours for background checks, and will get longer the closer we come to the end of the month.

Due to the looming deadline for many transactions, we will be working with extended hours for the rest of the month as follows:

Today through Thursday, 10 am - 8 pm
Friday, 6/26 11 am - 8 pm
Saturday 10 am - 7 pm
Sunday 11 am - 6 pm
Monday 10 am - 8 pm
Tuesday 11 am - 10 pm (VSP transaction center closes at 10pm)

Be aware that if you are purchasing more than one h@ndg\/n in a month you will need your CHP or an approved SP-207 from the VSP. This includes AR P!$tols, etc.

There are TWO hearings on 6/25 for emergency injunctions, but there is no guarantee a decision will be issued before the end of the month, nor is there any guarantee of success.

Delays are taking multiple days. If you are normally delayed, it is best to start the process on Friday at the latest. We expect delays to be taking longer as we approach the deadline.
