This past weekend was the Versatility Open at Rising Glory Farm in Tennessee. Arwen competed without Prince, as he’s been recovering from stomach ulcers. So he stayed home while Arwen rode the wonderful Cletus, who belongs to Erin Erickson and Rockin E Ranch. Cletus was such a good boy and he and Arwen made a great team.
There were so many national ranking scores this past weekend and it’s exciting to see more people on the National Ranking list.
Arwen moved up to #9.
Caleb Willis moves to tier 1 #22
Claira Broce moves to tier 1 #28
This past year we’ve had some changes in our club. Several of our members who live in Warrenton, NC decided to organize their own mounted archery club so they would be able to hold competitions and expand their facility to add a NR track. They are now Dark Horse Mounted Archers . It was bittersweet to see this happen - you always want to encourage growth and keep achieving more, but we do miss our practices all together. The good news is that we will still work together and share our knowledge, and having another competition that’s just a couple hours away is very exciting!
We are super proud of Caleb Willis and Claira Broce for their hard work and for bringing in such great scores at the Versatility Open. They debuted on the Tier 1 list! It’s rewarding to know we got to work with them from the beginning, and they are obviously in great hands now with Erin 🏹 🐴 🎯
The next competition is the Summer Sizzler, hosted by 757 Horse Archers, which will be in July.
