Many of you know, but for those that don’t. Coach Joel Maestas leaves for deployment today.
Please join me in a prayer for all those leaving with him. Thank you for your service to this country that provides great freedoms we enjoy.
Almighty God,
Protector of all who trust in You,
we lift up Joel as he departs for deployment.
Go before him as his Shield,
stand beside him as his Strength,
and guard behind him as his Rear Guard.
Grant Joel and his team courage that does not falter,
wisdom that rises above fear,
and calmness of spirit in every unknown place.
Steady their hands, sharpen their minds,
and keep their hearts anchored in Your peace.
Watch over their steps in every land and sea,
and surround their paths with Your angels.
Let no weapon formed against them prosper;
let no darkness overcome the light within them.
Bless the families they leave behind—
give them comfort, unity, and assurance that You hold all things in Your hands.
Keep them strong until reunion comes.
When weariness presses upon these warriors,
renew their strength.
When loneliness finds them,
be their companion.
When danger approaches,
be their refuge and fortress.
And when their mission is complete,
bring them home safely—
whole in body, steady in mind,
and at peace in spirit.
For Yours is the power,
the protection,
and the glory forever.
