Congratulations to our 7U Allstars on winning another 🥇tournament championship!🏆This time they did it in front of our home town fans at the Blackhawk Summer Smash.

Congratulations are in order for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. We want to take a moment to recognize three of our hard-working players who are going to be competing for a spot in the PONY LEAGUE WORLD SERIES!!! Out of 16 teams and almost 200 players, only 15 were chosen to represent our 376 league in the tournament. Three of those are BAYBA’s own O.C. Burkhead, Luke Dixon and Ethan Ramer. We couldn’t be more proud of all that they’ve accomplished, and so excited for this next challenge! We’ve enjoyed watching these boys grow and develop all throughout our program over the years.

Please wish them luck as they take on their first opponent this afternoon in game 1. Below is a little bit about our players.

Owen “OC” Burkhead is an incoming freshman at Beaver County Christian School and a dedicated multi-sport athlete. He has been playing baseball in the Blackhawk organization since the age of 6 and just finished his final pony season. He also played for Blackhawk’s Middle School team this year, and has been a member of the Beaver Valley Red travel team since he was 8.

OC's primary position is shortstop, and he also contributes on the mound as a right-handed pitcher.

In addition to baseball, OC competes in soccer and basketball.

Luke Dixon is going into 9th grade at Blackhawk High School. He is a versatile utility player who can play every single position, but is a primary center fielder and right handed pitcher. He is a member of the Liberatore Baseball Club (LBC) travel team and just wrapped up his final pony season for Blackhawk. He also played for their Middle School and Junior Legion/Colts teams this year.

In his spare time he loves to listen to music, play guitar, eat as many cheesesteaks as possible, and spend time with family and friends. He attends Pathway Church in Chippewa. He is thrilled to be a part of this group and feels very blessed to have this opportunity.

Ethan Ramer is going into 8th grade at Blackhawk (Highland Middle School.) A left-handed pitcher, you’ll usually find him on the mound. When he’s in the field, you will find him in center field. Ethan played in BAYBA’s pony league this spring, and also plays travel baseball for the Ohio Valley Jokers. He is grateful for the opportunity to compete alongside such a great group of teammates from his county.

When it’s NOT baseball season, Ethan also travels the country playing hockey.

One last ride🥇In their final tournament together before high school, our 14u squad brought home first place in the Ripken tournament at Sports Force Parks in Sandusky. They were the only single community team in a tournament full of travel teams, and went 4-0 on the weekend. They fought hard every single pitch and never gave up- battling back twice from big deficits on the final day, including the championship game. They left it all out on the field, and came home Champions 🥇 Couldn’t be prouder of the boys and the amazing careers they’ve had with us here at BAYBA. Thanks for the memories!! Special shout-out to Matt DeChicko for his service over these many years, and his squad of assistants ⚾️💚💛

They did it again! Congratulations to our 9U Allstar Team. They took home another 🥇1st place championship🏆 this weekend at the Brad-Mar-Pine Summerween Slam. They battled stiff competition and wild weather over a 4 day tournament. Way to go boys!

🏆Blackhawk 13U Team are champions of the All American Walk Off Classic. The Cougars captured the #1 seed in the tournament and came back from a 15-6 deficit in the championship game. We are very proud of this team and these boys. 🥇

Fall Baseball Registration is open!

It’s time to get back on the field! Fall registration is open, and we can’t wait to welcome returning players and new families.

Registration closes July 22nd. Practices tentatively start second week of August with the season ending first week in October. Leagues for the fall include Rookie 5/6, Rookie 7/8, Minor, Little League, and Pony League.

Congratulations to our 8U Allstars!

These boys played lights-out defense all weekend long only giving up 7 runs in 4 games. Battled into the 7th inning where Elliott Paraniuk was able to drive Toby Graham in for the walk-off hit and taking home first place 🏆championship at the Moon 8U Summer Slam.

Good luck to these boys next weekend when they host their home tournament at VETS.
