Today marked our inaugural NRA Concealed Carry Weapon (CCW) class at BVRPC! We had an outstanding cadre of students and instructors who contributed to the day's success. Students learned about firearm safety, how to choose a pistol for self-defense, the selection of defensive ammunition, basic defensive pistol skills, techniques for drawing from concealment, loading and malfunction remediation, mindset, carry modes, concealment strategies, legal considerations, and more. We are proud to report that 100% of the students passed both their qualification shoot and written test.
A big thank you to all the instructors who dedicated many hours before the class to prepare and who taught both in the classroom and on the range. We can't do it without you!
