I keep detailed notes for every student after each of their lessons — what they did, how it went, etc.

These notes came in particularly useful today when I thought it’d be fun to see what today’s student did on this day(-ish) 2 YEARS ago!

So if you’re today’s student (and you know I know you know that you are!) consider this reel a preview of your very near future!! And also a reminder that open fabric is still literally the worst and I’ll always question why I ever had you do this. 🥲🥲

It’s been a while since I’ve posted, so I thought I’d share what I’ve been up to lately with a random compilation sped up 4x — conditioning!! 💪🏻 💪🏻

I’ve decided to focus on improving one of my weaknesses, which is my tuck invert! I have proportionally looong legs and a very short torso, so getting these legs to lift and STAY lifted has always been challenging for me! I’m excited to see my improvement over time!!

To help balance out all that tucking, I’ve also been including front hip balance roll-ups for extension. Fortunately, these have always been relatively easy for me BECAUSE of my proportions! 🤭 💅🏻

Today was a good sling day. I’ve been feeling more inspired to practice because of some new students starting (yay!). I’m really liking this sequence I put together, and then I also did 2 successful back dive catches (still with ankle weights, but I literally haven’t practiced this since June). 😊😊

We did our regular rigging inspection the other day, which involves bringing in the BIG extension ladder and clearing everything out of its way. Anyway, I just thought this was an interesting look at the studio, especially with the Flexi-Roll off the floor. 🙂
