I remember when I met Sig. This is a line spoken to me from many people about a special horse in my life. While Sig (Siglavy II Sigana II) isn’t with us any more, I was able to work with a close friend and author Lisbeth P. Asay to pen this time in my life, as though through the eyes of Sig.

This book provides a glimpse into my personal journey, highlighting the profound impact Sig, a Lipizzaner stallion, had on my life's highs and lows. If you want to read about this special animal, here’s where you can find it. If you’ve already read it, a review would be most appreciated.

Updating evacuation:

My phone went dead on way out with horses. Just catching up now. Was lucky and turned right onto Beavercreek Rd. and away from traffic jam left. Took Carus to Canby then Aurora and straight to Newberg. No traffic problems. All horses safe at Oakhurst TB farm. Dr. Roots place. He’s my old vet from 40 Yrs ago.

We are back home and the good thing is one of our friends staying here is a retired estacada fire fighter who has the real up to date info through his connections by radio. We will be the first to know of any changes. Right now it’s safe.

We have great neighbors too. This message is being sent to all our concerned friends 🙏
Stay safe. - Margaret

We are safe, but cautious. The fires closest to us are within a few miles but are being kept under control and put out fairly quickly. We’re driving the area, listening to police and fire scanners, monitoring social media and several different mapping websites trying to stay on top of the information. There are a half dozen trucks and trailers at the stable ready to get horses out if need be. We’re in a good place with support of neighbors, family and friends in spite of the circumstances. Thanks for checking in!
