Sunday reminder: rest doesn’t always mean doing nothing.

Active rest is light movement that helps your body recover without adding more stress. Think walking, easy stretching, mobility work, a relaxed bike ride, or even getting outside and moving around.

But sometimes your body needs actual rest. If you’re sick, injured, completely drained, unusually sore, or your body is clearly telling you to stop, listen to it. Recovery is part of training too.

So tell us…

What’s your go-to active rest activity? 👇

Southeast Texas has had a crazy week, but the women of Fit30 know what they get from a workout, so they showed up and stayed with it this week! 💪

Stress relief, burning calories, getting stronger and enjoying the company of your Fit30 friends… it truly can be the best 30 minutes of your day.

Some weeks you come in ready to crush it. Other weeks you come in because you NEED it. Either way, showing up counts.

Proud of our Fit30 Community for staying consistent even when the week felt anything but normal. ❤️

P.S. Great first class Kayla!! We loved having you join us in class today with your Mom while visiting in town!

Can we talk about our Fit30 kids for a second? 💛

While mom is in class getting stronger, sweating it out, and taking that 30 minutes just for her, these little ones are having a blast right next door. Playing, laughing, making friends, being kids.

That’s the whole point. Moms give so much of themselves all day long. For 30 minutes, you get to pour back into YOU while your kids are safe, happy, and having fun just steps away.

We love your babies like they’re our own. And we love giving you the space to take care of yourself without the guilt or the juggling.

Strong moms. Happy kids. Built side by side.

See you in class. 💪

P.S. Do we love the new childcare space or what??!!!❤️

Thursday Thoughts with Stacey: Avoidance Is a Con Artist

Avoidance can feel amazing...at first.

You dodge the hard conversation and your shoulders drop three inches. You don't open the bill and the day gets lighter. You skip the workout and suddenly the evening is yours again. It seems like a relief, and relief feels a whole lot like peace.

Here's the con: your brain is taking notes.

Every time you avoid something uncomfortable and feel better, your brain files it as a win. Not "I dodged that." It logs avoidance works. It's the same wiring that keeps you from touching a hot stove twice, except now it's aimed at a phone call and a 30-minute workout. Your brain doesn't rank threats very well. It just knows the discomfort stopped.

So it recommends the strategy again. And again. And the thing you're avoiding doesn't sit still while you do. It grows, because now you've got the original thing plus however many weeks (or years) of dread you've stacked on top of it.

That's the part nobody says out loud. Avoidance doesn't cost you the thing. It costs you the thing, plus interest.

And the peace was never peace. It was a payment plan.

Your action step, and no, it's not "face your fears":

Go find the smallest, dumbest thing you've been avoiding. Not the big one. The stupid one. The email, the appointment you need to reschedule, the drawer.

Set a timer. Do it. Write down how long it actually took.

Then write down how long you've been avoiding it.

Sit with those two numbers. Four minutes versus five weeks. That gap is what avoidance has been charging you, and once you've seen the receipt, it gets a lot harder to keep paying it.

What are YOU doing to invest in yourself today?

When we hear “invest,” we usually think money — a membership, a program, new shoes, a spa day. And yes, sometimes investing in yourself does cost something. But some of the biggest returns come from investments that have nothing to do with your wallet.

You invest in yourself when you:

🕐 Give yourself 30 minutes that are just yours — no phone, no to-do list, no guilt.

💪 Show up for a workout even when your brain talked you out of it three times on the drive over.

🗣️ Speak to yourself the way you’d speak to your best friend.

😴 Go to bed early instead of scrolling, because rested-you is a better mom, boss, partner, and human.

🙌 Ask for help instead of white-knuckling it alone.

None of those cost a dollar. All of them pay you back.

Your action step today: Pick ONE small way to invest in yourself before your head hits the pillow tonight. Just one. Write it down or say it out loud so it counts.

Then come tell us what you chose — we love cheering each other on. 💛

Thursday Morning Thoughts with Stacey💭🤔

For a long time, so much of the conversation around women’s bodies has been about getting something back.

Get your pre-baby body back.
Get back to the weight you were in your 20s.
Get back into those jeans.
Get back to the old you.

But what if we stopped looking backward?

I don’t need the body I had at 25.

I need a body that can carry me through my 40s, 50s, 60s and beyond.

I want muscle.
I want strong bones.
I want energy.
I want to be capable.
I want to keep doing hard things.
And I want as much independence as possible for as long as possible.

That requires me to build for where I’m going, not spend the next twenty years trying to recreate where I’ve already been.

And I think that applies to more than our bodies.

Sometimes becoming the woman you want to be requires letting go of the idea that your goal is to get the old version of you back.

Maybe she got you here.

Now it’s time to build her next version.

This week’s action:
Ask yourself one question:

“What does the woman I want to be 10 years from now need me to start doing today?”

Pick one answer and act on it this week.

Not ten things. One.

That’s how we build her.
