Switzerland of Ohio Country Club Switzerland of Ohio Golf Course is a beautiful 9 hole course situated in Southeastern Ohio. He and two friends, Henry Prichard and M.R.

In the mid-1950's Keith Harper had a dream to bring golf to Monroe County. "Red" Hamilton, became tired of driving so far to play golf, as the closest golf courses, Moundsville Country Club and Crispin Golf Course at Oglebay Park, were an hour and a half away. Keith convinced his friends to help him with his plan; a farm was purchased from a local sheep farmer, excavation began, local volunteers,

eager to become part of the dream, spent countless hours working to get the golf course up and running. In July, 1957 Switzerland of Ohio Country Club near Wilson, Ohio became a reality.

Good evening everyone! Just a couple reminders. Tomorrow is Senior Day so anyone 60 and over come on out and enjoy breakfast and play in one of our games that will be decided in the morning. Unfortunately Mother Nature has decided there will be no golf today!! After 3.75” of rain over the weekend and rain most of the night continuing into this morning we will not be allowing carts on the course today. I hope everyone understands this is just to prevent damage and keep our course in good shape.
