All hands on deck!
The RAMPS have been taking a beating lately and it is in need of some TLC.
The park gets heavy use every day and its become a second home for so many of us. Lets get together and take care of our home and make sure it will continue to be a welcoming place for years to come.

Join us this coming Sunday, May 23rd from 10am to 2pm. We will be giving the park a fresh coat of paint, fixing some features, patching some cracks, and sweeping the dust and grime out of the corners.

Join us, this Saturday 10am to2pm for a RAMP park cleanup!

The park got a lot of use over the summer and its time to do our part and take care of our park together.

We are preparing to build some new features so lets get the park ready for them!

Hello RAMP family,

We just got word from the powers that be that we will need to close the RAMPS until this Corona crisis is over... time to build that curb box in your driveway or a dirt track in the woods behind your house... stay safe out there.

City of Beacon | COVID-19 Update | 10 April 2020 4 PM

This is Mayor Lee Kyriacou, and joining me remotely is Ward Two Council Member Air Rhodes, with some local Beacon updates.

Courts & Playgrounds: Beacon City parks remain open. However, in light of new guidance from the state, our playgrounds, basketball courts and skate park will close. We know from regular monitoring that Beacon residents are doing a great job of social distancing. Keep it up. Enjoy our parks, but going forward not the playgrounds or basketball courts or skate park.

RAMP Fam,

The team at The Ramps at Memorial Park want to send our best to you and yours while we all adjust to the ongoing COVID-19 situation. While skating, Biking, Blading, Scootering, and all sorts of wheeled activities are great ways to stay active while distancing, we have to strongly suggest that you STAY OUT of the park during this time. There are simply too many people, and too many surfaces at the park to use the features at this time.

Fact: If a sick person touches a surface, the virus can remain on the surface for over 24 hours.

Using the park is not wise at this time. Just like the rest of you, we await the day we can all jam together again, but for now just ride solo.

If you do skate, bring sanitizing wipes/spray/gel and clean all surfaces before and after each use anywhere you end up on your ride.

Stay safe out there. The better we distance now, the sooner we'll all be back together.

And for some fun while you're at home, check out this video of Nyjah Huston in LA.
