We are so happy to announce that March's Client of the Month is Emily Hayes! Emily has been an avid and dedicated client for the past five years, since January of 2016!
Emily is a true student of the protocol. Having previously trained in this style on the west coast, she actively sought out Overload Fitness when moving to the east side of the country. This dedication shows through her training. Emily listens to cues, always asks for deeper explanations about the protocol, and reaches a level of intensity during her workouts that is to be admired.
The level of focus and effort that Emily pours into each session can be attributed to her passion for the protocol. Because of her study and inquisition, Emily knows not to waste a single second of her workouts on anything other than the task at hand. As a result, she finishes each workout having left every ounce of energy she could offer on the machines.
Here's what Rich has to say about his experience training Emily:
"I'd like to say congratulations to Emily Hayes for being our Client of the Month! Emily shows great dedication to her workout weekly and constantly gives her best, no matter what I throw at her. I appreciate clients like Emily that come in and understand that it takes commitment. Good job! You've earned this!"
Thank you, Emily, for your dedication, drive, and passion!
"Five years ago, I relocated from Los Angeles and found Overload Fitness through a high-intensity trainer directory on Dr. Doug McGuff's website; I have been a client ever since. Simply put, I am passionate about this workout and cannot imagine my life without it. Over 9 years of practice, I have found that slow cadence, high-intensity strength training can be the foundation of well-being, not merely the most efficient workout available. While I have enjoyed the many physical benefits that come with this style of training, the big payoff for me has been the mental focus and stress relief it provides. Our year of global pandemic has only enhanced my appreciation of this protocol's power as a tool for cultivating calm in the midst of chaos.
Do I live in the Cleveland area? No. Is it worth the weekly 85-mile drive to enjoy access to the machines and expertise of the trainers at Overload? Yaaasssss! These days, I train primarily with Rich, but I have benefited from working with everyone at Overload and am truly grateful for the skill and guidance each of them has shared with me over the years. I look forward to many more years of building strength!
With love,
Emily Hayes"
