DAILY REPORT (6/11/2026) by Jingles

It’s a grey sky and warm morning here in Beach Haven. And they say its going to be a hot steamy day…. The wind right now is coming from the WSW at about 6mph. Currently the surf is clam with 2-3 foot waves. You will need about 3-4oz to hold. Beach Haven water temp is about 65°. The air temp is currently 70° and heading to 87°!

The bay is calm and 66°.

Low tide is at 10:57AM and 11:57PM. High tide is at 4:37AM and 5:10PM.

Spring Derby weigh-ins have slowed down yet still receiving pictures of anglers and their catches from big striped bass to black drum to bluefish! Rich Sherman caught this cow on Tuesday measured at 41″ caught on salted clams. He also caught a 27″ and a 38″ on that outing. Wh**ey Roth had a couple striped bass over the last couple of days – both Wh**ey and his wife Eileen both brought in some stripers. And Jason had this striped bass. PJ was out with his dad on Tuesday and he brought in a pair of black drum. Jamie came in and bought surf clams and he had this black drum yesterday, and Adam was in buying bunker and shared this photo of his big bluefish! It may be slowing down but with this amazing spring slowing down means anglers are still pulling in fish!

We are down to a week and a half for the Spring Derby and the Jingles In-Store tournaments. Both offer prizes on the two heaviest striped bass and the heaviest bluefish. Well, I guess Mother Nature thought it was too hot so she turned on her air conditioner today! It’s a much cooler, mostly cloudy morning here in Beach Haven today! But the sun should come out, and the wind die down a bit as the day gets on. The wind right now is coming from the ENE at about 14mph. Currently the surf is moderate with 2-3 foot waves. You will need about 4-5oz to hold. Beach Haven water temp is about 63°. The air temp is currently 62° and heading to 66°.

The bay is calm and 63.3°.

Low tide is at 8:11AM and 8:48PM. High tide is at 1:41AM and 2:25PM.

No Spring Derby weigh-ins yesterday but I did get a few more pictures of big striped bass. Mike caught this 40″ striper using clams and Danny Federico (of LBI Surf Fishing Services) caught this 33″ on clams just before dead low. So goes to show, you can fish anytime and still catch some decent fish. On the fluke front, we have not had a weigh-in yet for our Jingles Fluke tournament yet. But besides hearing there are fluke in Great Bay, I am hearing that there are fluke right out behind Beach Haven too.

It’s a beautiful, sunny, hot morning here in Beach Haven today! The wind right now is mild coming from the WSW at about 6mph. Currently the surf is calm with 2-3 foot waves. You will need about 4-5oz to hold. Beach Haven water temp is about 62°. The air temp is currently 80° and staying at 80°!

The bay is calm and 69.4°.

Low tide is at 7:18AM and 7:34PM. High tide is at 12:51AM and 1:38PM.

The hits just keep on coming!! Striped Bass, Black Drum and Bluefish! If you are waiting for a better time to go fishing then you will be waiting forever. NOW is the time!! Derek had another weigh-in yesterday with a striper AND a bluefish! His striper was 9.45 # and 30.75″ and his bluefish was 6.9 # and 29.5″. And some other pictures I received yesterday – Grayson who is 10 with his striper, AND 10 year old Jace and his dad Mark with this big black drum. Steve Gross caught some dinner with his 9.5″, 30.75″ striped bass and also had a bluefish. And Rob caught another beauty striper using clams.

Woohoo the great spring fishing continues!! We had a Spring Derby weigh-in here yesterday – Derek Correia had this beauty striped bass – 10.25 # and 30.99″ caught on bunker in BH Terrace. The day before Derek had a couple black drum as well. And Jamie, Richie and friends had a great day catching striped bass and black drum! The weekend will be sunny and warm and we have the bait – Let’s Goooo!!

Today is another beautiful sunny June morning here in Beach Haven! The wind right now is mild coming from the NNW at about 2mph. Currently the surf is calm with 1-2 foot waves. You will need about 3-4oz to hold. Beach Haven water temp is about 59°. The air temp is currently 60° and heading to 83°!

The bay is calm and 61.9°.

Low tide is at 4:39AM and 4:30PM. High tide is at 10:36AM and 10:35PM.

Yesterday was Black Drum day! Rich Sherman weighed in this Black Drum at 30.15 # and 37″ caught using clams. Matt & PJ Shapiro each got a black drum yesterday too. Beside the black drum, stripers are still out there too. Clam or bunker – get on it before they move on!

Happy June! Today is a mostly sunny, beautiful June morning here in Beach Haven – And it’s going to shape into a beautiful day! The wind right now is almost non-existent coming from the NNW at about 1mph. Currently the surf is moderate with 2-3 foot waves coming in frequently. You will need about 3-4oz to hold. Beach Haven water temp is about 59°. The air temp is currently 59° and heading to 70°.

The bay is flat calm and 60.3°.

Low tide is at 3:22AM and 3:14PM. High tide is at 9:14AM and 9:21PM.

Striped Bass continue and to show up on the surf we had a nice striped bass weigh-in yesterday! Keith Soycher caught this beauty in Holgate using clams – 11.05 # and 30.5″. This striper put Keith in 2nd place for the time being in the Spring Derby – which means anyone is still in it! From over the weekend we had some other photos to share – Shawn Gallen had another bass just over 27″, Mark Roczey has been doing well on the surf with clams catching this black drum yesterday morning and John Brillo caught his striper in Beach Haven. Catches off the surf have not seem to slow down so join that Spring Derby!
