Dear Bridges Gymnastics Parents & Gymnasts,

It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that Bridges Gymnastics Center will be CLOSING.

We are sorry about the long wait for us to post about re-opening. We have been struggling to decide on a definite decision. We were waiting for the public schools to open, which would have an impact on our decision.

Unfortunately, the Bayonne schools, along with surrounding area schools, will not be opening in September. We have been in constant contact with the Children’s Board of Health. Due to the restrictions of only 25% capacity and social distancing have put us into a situation where we can not comply with the regulations and financially afford to stay Open. This would never cover all of Bridges Gymnastics Center’s expenses (rent, payroll, utilities, etc.).

We have been in business in Bayonne for over 20 years and are heartbroken that we have to close our doors. Although we do not want to part with our Bridges family, we are grateful for the memories and love built around this wonderful place.

If anyone has any ideas of how we could receive help through this financial hardship, please reach out to Mary at (917) 975-5347 as soon as possible.

For those who are awaiting a leotard or short set that was ordered prior to the pandemic, please know that they were ordered and we are awaiting an update from the manufacturer on when we may receive them. Upon receipt, those that ordered and prepaid will be contacted to receive their leotard.

If you pre-purchased tickets for the recital, a refund will be processed back to you in the near future.

Our sister center, Richmond Gymnastics, has remained open throughout the summer. Many of our Bridges gymnasts have enrolled and been attending all summer long. We would love for our Bridges families to take advantage of this opportunity and join us now and in the Fall!

As we all wait for the Governor to proceed further with his plan to reopen our State, we ask that everyone please be patient with us.

We are just as anxious to reopen but we are not going to open until it is deemed safe for the children and staff.

Once we receive word on a start date, we will post further instructions on classes.

Our records have been updated and we are aware of those that have paid for classes that they have not been able to attend. Everyone will be offered an opportunity to make up those classes.

Our recital is tentatively rescheduled for January 2021. More details to follow.
