Bayonne Rec Youth Flag Rugby

Bayonne Rec Youth Flag Rugby Join us for Bayonne Flag Rugby's Ninth year!! Co-ed, Flag rugby Runs through June and July. This is a Co-Ed structure and is open to all.

The structure involves 4 divisions. Owls : K-1st Grades
Falcons: 2-3rd Grade
Hawks: 4,5,6th Grade
Eagles: 7,8,9th Grade
The program is affiliated with the City of Bayonne, Department of Recreation. The game is Flag only and does not involve any tackling
Program dates are June 2 to July 23 with practice during the week (Tuesdays & Thursdays) and tournaments on Saturdays. We host our home tourna

ment at 16th Street Park on Saturday July 9th with teams from surrounding towns attending. Registration is $80 and kids will receive uniforms as part of their registration. Rugby is one of the fastest growing and safest sports for children and does not differentiate based on size, age etc as everyone gets to run with the ball.

Bayonne Bombers /Peninsula Pirates Family Day October 10th

Good Morning Pirates!! And just when you thought the season was over, we bring you more rugby!!
On October 10th, beginning at 9 am we will host our first Family Day alongside of our parent organization, the Bayonne Bombers. There will be a full day of rugby at all age levels: Pirates Flag kicking off at 9am, followed by the Old Boys (players 35+, aka your coaches) at 11am and ending with an A-Side match at 1pm.The flag mini-tournament will be open to recently graduated eagles and will have games at all 4 age levels.
Please mark your calendars now, details to follow. It's going to be a great day for the entire program, we can't wait to see you there!

End of the season Pizza Party was a huge success. Coach Ralph had 4 amazing players graduate out, Ryleigh, Jane, Ava and Logan (not in picture)! All the kids had fun tossing the rugby ball around on the street like real city kids. Thank you Al, Ashley, Winx and all the staff at The Vic Tavern for the amazing food and service as always. Thank you to all the parents for an amazing season. We look forward to your kids coming back next year. 8-4-26

Good Morning Pirates. Tomorrow is our EoY Pizza Party at the Vic Tavern, 104 Hobart Ave, at 6 pm. It'll be our last get together until next year and we will make a special presentation to our graduating players.
PLEASE RETURN ANY OUTSIZED OR UNNEEDED KIT. In an effort to keep the program affordable, please return any items (shorts, flags, etc) that you will not need going forward.

Good Afternoon Pirates! Congratulations on, and thank you for, another AMAZING season of Rugby!!!
This year gave us all the excitement, all the action and all of the weather, for sure.
Now let's take the time to celebrate our player's efforts with the End of Year Pizza Party. Tuesday August 4th, 6 pm, at The Vic Tavern, 107 Hobart Ave, Players and Parents are welcome.

Good morning Pirates! We've one week left in this amazing season, let's finish strong!
Saturday we go back to Madison Avenue park (1300 Madison Ave, Rahway) for Rahway Flag Fest/ Mudturtle Day, the final event of the season.
Along with our regular slate of matches there will be All Girls games at all age levels as well as the annual parents & coaches match: Myths vs. Legends.
We're hoping to get two good training sessions in this week at our usual times but please keep in touch with us here as we are forecasted for significant storms today.

Tomorrow's tournament is being hosted by Cranford and Union and will be held at Madison Avenue Park, 1300 Madison Ave, Rahway, NJ 07065.
This is a Full League event so parking will be limited, please arrive early. We can expect kick off at 9am at all levels.
